I don't mean how often do you pick up things from the dry cleaners or how often the help irons.

I mean you, standing there with an iron in your hand.

I iron about once a week.
I love to iron.

I iron or steam the curtains every time I get new ones. I iron or steam my fanciest schmatta about once a year for some gala occasion, a cruise formal evening or a wedding. And that's it. The rest of the time I might use the clothes dryer and a wet washcloth to make wrinkles relax. Most of my stuff is non-wrinkling or permanent press.

Absolutely never. Not in many, many years. I have a steamer.

I iron 8 shirts a week: five for the hubs, three for me. In return, I get him to clean the bathroom. I win

+1

Although I probably iron something only once a month. My FI doesn't even try to iron anything anymore since I'm mildly crazy then it comes to ironing... my tablecloths and napkins probably meet the standards of the Royal household in London.

Weekly for sure, sometimes more if there is a particular shirt I'd like to wear, but def once a week. Most things just require a light touch up as I'm very diligent about pulling them out of the dryer as soon as it stops, and laying flat until I'm ready to iron. I figure, if I do the ironing and DH does the cooking, that's a total score!! I'd happily iron for an hour or so once a week, rather than be tortured w cutting/cooking/stirring to create a meal. TOTALLY STRESSFUL Far prefer our arrangement!

Almost never. Clothes that need to be ironed are typically sent to the dry cleaners.

I don't mind ironing, but if I don't have to do it, I won't - lazy I am. Hehe. I iron once a week for my work shirts or any thing that need crisping up for a function.

Luckily, DH has his mum iron his shirts... He prefers that she does it as she gets it super crisp!!! There will come a time where I will have to do it, and he will have to be happy with what comes!!

Never, don't even own one.

I line dry most of our nice clothes and the suits and stuff go to the dry cleaners when they are rarely needed. Also, I'm a big believer in less wrinkly fabrics; lots of jersey very little linen at my house!

I generally iron just a couple of items once a month, sometimes more often during the summer.

I find a big time saver is not putting clothes in the dryer if they are the type that need to be ironed. I either:

1) iron clothes after removing them from the washing machine. That way the clothes are damp and I don't have to iron set wrinkles out of dry clothes; or

2) lay clothes flat to dry, and then touch up with an iron (or spray bottle of water and an iron).

I iron twice a day: each night I iron DS's clothes for the following day and every morning I iron my clothes for the day after I get DS off to school. I don't mind ironing at all and it only takes a few minutes to do daily. (Having a pull out ironing board in the wall is nice.) I hate hate hate wrinkly clothes. My family all make fun of me. None of them seem to ever iron.

I iron to Bones and Castle on a Sunday evening. I like clean, well ironed clothes.

I picked never but it's not the complete answer. The help irons but sometimes there's a crease after storing the clothes for too long, I will just pick up the iron myself. No point asking the help to take out the crease if she's busy.

I hate ironing with a passion, I buy clothes that don't require ironing...the only time I ever iron is if I am going to a wedding or a funeral and the only reason I have to iron is because of men's dress shirt's and pants always need ironed..ugh

I hate to iron! :knockout: I save it up & every week or 2 do a big marathon with something brainless on the tube. Only way to survive. DH will wear nothing but cotton shirts.

I starch & iron my bedsheets. ;( Cannot stand floppy wrinkled linens! In Holland, laundromats had industrial-sized mangles & they were FUN to use -- I even put through my dishtowels & DH's undershirts for the chuckle of it. Here, it's me with the dumb old steam iron.

I never iron. Most of my dh's shirts are cleaned and pressed at the dry cleaners. His suits are dry cleaned.
If I need something dewrinkled (which is rare because most of my clothes rarely get wrinkled) my dh will iron it for me or I can take out my steamer which works very well.

I iron every week. I don't mind ironing but sometimes it's just the one more thing that has to be done that pushes you over the edge! I hate wrinkled clothes though. I am very diligent about taking most things out of the dryer to finish drying and could probably get away with not ironing some things but. . . the OCD kicks in and I know I won't completely like the look without stuff being ironed!

Once a month. I do love the towels from Bed Bath and beyond that you put in dryer so clothes come out wrinkle free.

Love my steamer for a quick once over before going out...

I love my steamer. I started out with a little handheld one, and now have a unit with its own "hanger." It was worth every penny.

Very, very rarely. Now that I work form home, I tend to wear sweaters or stretchy tops. I only iron if I need a shirt. My husband has non-iron shirts. The duvet cover never seems to need it. I just HATE ironing and basically we never do it.

Steaming is much more fun and easy for me.

Daily.

Just a quick 10 minute job on that days clothes mind you.

I adore ironing.

Meditative.

I do not if I can avoid it, but there are a handful of times a year that I need to iron.

I never iron. It makes me want to cry. I become a perfectionist about it, iron in a wrinkle or two, and get all stressed out!

I am so happy that my husband knows how to iron his own shirts!

Yup. I can have a shirt completely steamed in the amount of time it would take to go downstairs and get the ironing board out of the closet - never mind having to plug in the iron and let it heat up.

This.

I can do it if I have to, but do try to avoid buying stuff that would need ironed. Some things come out of the dryer still damp and get hung up or laid out flat. That pretty much takes care of it.

Luckily for me, DH feels more strongly about perfectly ironed table linens than I do. If he wants them ironed before guests come over he does it himself!

Once I get started I keep on going with anything I can get hold of and won't stop if I can find the smallest wrinkle.

I agree, but I don't understand why I love ironing, or why I find it meditative, relaxing, and satisfying like few other activities.

I dislike wrinkly clothes and ironing is stressful for me because a misplaced or accidental crease gets to me, therefore I avoid it altogether wherever I can (plus I am lazy  ). DH irons my khakis for me and I wear either sweaters or wrinkle-free shirts to work. I used to iron my school uniforms once a week so I've done my part during my younger days.

I've finished my days of ironing literally everything that could conceivably be ironed - I was OCD!! Now the drycleaner gets that job.

I loved it; I really loved it!!!
