How much to re-shank a men's ring?

My DH has worn almost completely through his RHR. The shank is literally paper-thin. It's 14k YG (size 9 if that matters). What should I expect/what would be a fair price to pay to get it reshanked?

Thanks!

Different craftsmen charge different rates for their time and talents, rather like different chefs charge different rates and it will vary quite a bit depending on who you choose and, a little bit by the details of the ring. $150 would be cheap with todays record gold prices, $500 would be sort of expensive unless there's something about the ring that makes it an unusual job. Bear in mind the the best craftsmen are rarely the cheapest and visa versa. The bright side is that most will offer free estimates before the work begins and you can decide based on that if you want to hire them.

Great thank you! I was wondering what a fair quote might fall between. Thanks for your help! :wavey:
