I am looking at a 1.38 carat cushion cut with these stats. I have been looking at some larger cushions in the 1.5-1.55 range and am wondering how much of a difference .12 to .17 carats is going to make to the naked eye. Anyone with advice or an opinion please feel free to help me with my decision.
thanks,
MB

it really is going to depend on the cut. some cushions are very deep so although they may weigh 1.5 carats they will face up smaller. some are shallow and might have a better spread etc. if you are comparing 2 cushions with the exact same specs I doubt once set you''d really see a difference in the 2 stones.

we''d need pics of the cushion you posted the specs for. i personally don''t like the thick-ex. thick girdle b/c you''re loosing some size/spread in the girdle thickness, but cushions really do have to be judged by the eyes and not the numbers or paper alone.
