How many pairs of earrings do you have?

I have a few.. but I prefer my diamonds and then a plain silver disc pair. They are simple. I am more of a ring and necklace girl

I LOVEEEE dangly earrings though. I just would never wear them.

I don't have any diamond earrings. I am dying for a pair of huggies and a pair of studs.

I have about 20 pairs of earrings, mostly silver or yellow gold. The silver earrings are mine - they're very light and fun and flirty. The gold earrings were my mother's - very grownup but stylish. I usually wear plain silver huggies unless I'm getting dressed up, in which case I'll wear dangles.

I love dangles. I am convinced that wearing long, slender dangles immediately makes me look taller and slimmer!

I don't care if it is all in my mind, it works for me!

I have probably 6 pairs of sterling silver hoops in different shapes (square, oblong, round), several pair of white gold or yellow gold studs, hoops, or small uncerted diamonds, a pair of large white gold skinny hoops, and several pairs of costume fun crazy large earrings.

I wear earrings every single day. There was a time in my life when I wore a pair of graduated yellow gold hoops in all three of my ear piercings. I looked like a pirate.

ETA: forgot about my 8mm pearl studs...and my 8 mm sterling silver studs. I wear those pretty frequently!

Lets see... I have some 8mm bezel set millgrain OEC cut "white thing' studs, which I'm wearing now. I wear them when I'm wearing something more eyecatching around my neck, usually, like a more ornate necklace or the bigger Tahitian pearl strand. Or when I'm wearing a hair decoration of some sort.

I've got a pair of 3.5cttw OMC diamond chandelier earrings. I loves them and wear them frequently, but usually when I'm wearing a simpler necklace like a drop pearl on a fine chain.

I have some purple-overtone round 12mm Tahitian pearl earrings that dangle off a cool, sort of spiky diamond thingy. I love those and wear them with my rounder Tahitian strands.

Oh, and I have a pair of large sterling hoops but I don't wear them much anymore, usually just when I'm on vacation.

So a lot of it depends on the rest of the jewelry I'm wearing, really. I usually don't wear, say, the chandelier earrings with my more ornate necklaces. Or the round Tahitian pearl earrings with a baroque Tahitian strand.

No, seriously, I haven't counted but I think I'm somewhere up there with Trekkie. I used to be known for wearing lots of dangly earrings (e.g., sterling silver tassles, silver and amber, silver and Venetian glass, etc.). I have a weird, skinny long neck and didn't used to wear necklaces so I think that's why I wore lots of costume earrings. I would choose a pair every morning that worked best with my outfit. The little studs I wear in my second holes are always the same. Now that I have my Tahitian pearl necklace I tend to be lazier with changing my earrings.

I do have one set that is sort of my default set: my dad gave me tiny huggy hoops when I graduated university so I wear those quite regularly.

ETA: I am dying to get a pair of 1.8-2.0ctw diamond studs. Classic, blingy, not too -in-your-face. Have to wait for the prices to drop first though!

I had a crazy experience when I first got my ears pierce when I was 8 years old. I got them done (after much fighting between myself, my mother, and my grandmother) at a mall kiosk. Things were ok at first, but I suddenly started getting huge lumps in my neck on either side and all through my scalp. I was taken to several specialists and the general consensus was that I might have Hodgkin's disease and was in need of further testing. Went for testing. Turned out that I had a pretty basic, but severe nickel allergy. I couldn't wear earrings in my piercings anymore, which just devastated me.

It kind of shaped me for life! Ever since then (I repierced my ears myself when I was 14 without my parents' consent or knowledge) I have worn pierced earrings. Some metals bother me, some don't. Some, like sterling silver, will bother me certain times of year, some I just can't wear for more than an hour or two (costume.) I've never wanted any jewelry item more than a pair of 2 carat diamond studs set in platinum! I would just kill (ok, strong word!) to be able to have one awesome pair of earrings to wear every day for the rest of my life without breaking out or having an even worse reaction.

I'm not at my best first thing in the morning and I have occasionally made myself late by being paralysed by earring indecision.

I have rb studs, jackets for them, EC studs, princess 22kt yg bezel studs, pear cut drops, diamond and sapphire pear drops and my much beloved hoops.

They tend to go with my mood and the occasion, but the hoops are my default setting, with the EC studs being a close second.

It's ridiculous, actually. Such a problem to have...

I have maybe 5-10 pairs of custom earring (white shell, turquoise dangles, silver drop-etc) and only one of which are an actual "good pair" of earrings-- my ity bity huggies. After getting the huggies I tend to lean towards wearing them almost everyday as they are simple and match everthing. On nights when I go out and want to be a little more fin I switch it up my my chunky dangle earrings but truly the huggies reign supreme.

Haven't counted. Zillions, I'm afraid. I'll take pics of some of them. My favorites are 18K yg hoops I bought in New Orleans 20 yrs ago; Tahitian pearls surrounded by diamonds from a consignment shop; 2 prs of Roberto Coin hoops from a store going out of business, one etched & one studded w/diamonds; sapphire/diamond huggies from another store closing; yg Tiffany split-hoops w/diamond pave balls, got them when I worked there. As you can tell, I never pay full price, against my religion! Also have some costume cushion "emeralds" haloed w/"diamonds" that are fun. Usually I slap in some hoops, easiest when in a hurry.

I have tons upon tons of pairs...I wouldn't even know how to start counting...but many have been retired as "too juvenile"...just not sure what to do with them (purchases from Claire's and whatnot in high school...probably 3-4 dozen pairs at least) I probably have 6-10 pairs of "dressy" chandelier earrings from proms/formals in college. But I wear the following pairs the most: 2 pairs of costume small dangles in purple and pink that A got me for our 2nd Xmas, emerald and diamond gold hoops A got me for our first dating anniversary, princess-cut amethysts my mom got me for Xmas when I was in college, tiny SS huggies, and a random couple of other pairs of SS studs/hoops when I want a change. I have a pair of 7mm pearl studs and a pair of about 0.4 ctw diamond studs, both of which were my grandmothers, which I should wear more often, but I freak out about losing them! I find myself constantly touching my ears to make sure they're there!

Oh, and I decide based on the neckline of my outfit, its colour, and if I'm planning on wearing a necklace as well.

ETA: I also have 3 pairs of University of Michigan earrings (one that says "Go Blue!" and then block "M"s on posts and dangly block "M"s) that I wear on football Saturdays with my jersey. I'll choose a pair to start the season, and I'll wear the same pair each week until we lose.

I've never worn costume jewelry. I guess it is because I became fond of real gold and gems from an early age! I only have a few pair because I pretty much have the basics and really don't need any others. I have sterling and white gold hoops which I wear a lot, a pair of Roberto Coin woven wg fat huggie hoops that I love, 1.30 ctw ACA studs, white and tahitian pearl studs. I have pretty much sold all my old yg earrings from the past. I just don't like keeping things I'll never wear again. These are all of them except the sterling ones. I will probably get another pair with my $100 PS gift but just haven't decided which ones!

Three pairs of diamonds studs I wear all the time (I have three piercings each ear) a pair if pearl/diamond studs I got from my mother for my wedding that I never wear, a pair of gold hoops and a pair of diamond hoops.

40-50 pairs I am guessing. Most are yellow or white gold, a lot are gemstones, five or six cz in silver or 14k. About 15 pairs of hoops
in both colors of gold. 5 or 6 pairs of chandelier type earring, a couple pairs of threaders and a set of ear pin type (love those!)
About 10 pairs of pearl earrings-one tahitian, one akoya dangles that were my mom's which I wore in my wedding 31 year ago, and the
rest freshwater. I just bought two new pairs with giant fresh waters with a gemstone bezel set above them-on a shepherds hook. One
set has a blue tinge with a blue topaz and the other grey with a white topaz. Love them.

I change depending on what I feel like that day.

Oh I got a pair of yellow diamond studs in New York this summer, with a matching necklace. The set in 1.34 tcw. So each stone is about
.44 . I bought them from Isreal Rose. I had been stalking them on their website for a couple YEARS! They still had them for some reason
and they were a killer price for the whole set. I mostly wear these or my white diamond studs I bought a few months ago, but I have been
collecting for a long time.

I only have a few pairs, and I rotate them. They are all studs, as I can't stand dangly earrings (as a kid they always got caught in my long hair, so I just avoid them completely).

I have peridot studs in sterling silver (from my FIL), pearls that were a wedding gift to my mother, tanzanite studs in 14k gold, and white sapphires in white gold.

Oh, and pair of drop earrings I received as a bridesmaid - but I haven't touched them since the wedding!

One - a pair of danglies. For some reason, I can't wear studs - I've bought several but they stay in my jewelry box and I end up giving them to my sister who loves studs but can't wear danglies. I have long hair and when the studs are big enough to see, they're too big and put too much pressure on my ears. With danglies, I can wear almost invisible studs and you can still see the earring. Even the danglies are uncomfortable if I wear them for several days in a row so I only wear them occasionally.
