How long will you keep your tree up?

I put ours up a bit late this year, and then we were gone for the week of Christmas, so I'll be leaving mine up for a while longer. I'm just not ready to take it down yet. We didn't have one at all last year, because we had a Christmas wedding, so all out decorations were indisposed. I had no idea how much I missed it until I put up it up this year.

Took the first tree down last night and restored the furniture back to normal.

Tonight, the white one in the family room bites the dust!! Its going to flock all over the place... <- that sounds so funny!

Kept decorating simple this year so hopefully clean up will go smoothly but I too keep it up till the evening of the Epiphany.

Finally decided. Next weekend. I'm taking Thursday and Friday off. So I'll probably pull down all the ornaments then and start the packing. DH can take the lights down and put tree out then.

We don't have a tree since we were obliged to spend the holiday season 3,500 miles away with my family.

But one year, which was particularly snowy, we left it up till April. Obviously, it wasn't a real tree!

Our tree pick-up is the week of the 6th ... so the tree and all came down today in one fell swoop -- took a few hours of dedicated work, but we're ready to host "snow day" dinner in a few hours for our neighbors. It's almost, almost depressing ... I love it when my house is dressed up, but such is life.

I didn't have a tree. My neighbor's tree is still up.

Ours is still up! It was supposed to come down at least 2 weeks ago but ... Most of the decor is packed away, just the tree decorated remains. my oldest DS was unable to come home for Christmas but we found out last week he is relocating back here from NYC so we decided to keep the tree up till he comes home Thursday!

Despite coming from a family of agnostic Russian-Jews, I come from a family of agnostic RUSSIAN-Jews, so it stays up until Old Russian New Year (pre-Gregorian calendar). Next day, farewell! A month and a half is simply too much to lose that real estate in an NYC apartment.

P.S. - I do love the idea of a seasonal indoor tree with ornaments for every occasion, though. I might need to - on a smaller scale, sadly - somehow make that happen ....

Mine came down on Jan 10. Lots of people have decorations after New Years due to Russian Orthodox Christmas, so it's not like I am the last one to give it up. LOL I always leave the tree up a good while because my cats enjoy it so much. They go under it and sleep on the tree skirt. They sit on the chairs and sofa in that room and gaze at the ornaments for hours (drafty old house, so yeah, the ornaments do actually move and glitter.) They get so excited when the Christmas tree goes up, and so forlorn when it's gone.

I must admit that I took my tree down yesterday after seeing this thread again. At least my tree got to see some Christmassy weather! It's -20°C (-4°F) outside and a real winter wonderland!!
