How large can you go on a five stone band?

This is the side view photo. If I did this ring today, I would have DK do the setting with the diamonds in a Victorian style setting. Let me know if this helps.

Whoops, here's the pictureIMG_20200427_234339597.jpg

Love all the advice so far. Wanted to also throw this idea into the ring: massive stud earrings with 5 prongs! That way you still have the 5 symbolism. And maybe they should be 5ctw? :D You know, for the symbolism!

Sending you good vibes and hugs. So glad it was caught early, but sorry you have to go through this journey.

I have just begun a significant journey(diagnosed with breast cancer on March 19, but caught early and so I am grateful) and with the quarantine, and kids 24/7, and the stress of it all, I am contemplating treating myself to either ACA studs, or a five ACA stone band. I wear a 7 1/4 to 7 1/2 and would LOVE .70 stones. Too big? I love the WF "Skye" Uprong, probably with some modifications(because I am a difficult customizer every single darn time:roll:)

Thoughts on how big I can get away with?

Thanks for any thoughts....Stay well!

Thank God you are feeling better now!

As for your ring, how about trying different carat sizes?
Maybe a 0.7ct as the centre stone (I suppose you really want to have a 0.7ct), and it can gradually go smaller say 0.5ct then a 0.3ct.

That might give a good flow on your ring and would not look to bulgy.

@OX1985 I am totally thinking of a graduated band now....excited about it! I want coverage and bling, but not uncomfortable. Thank you!!!

I'm looking for a trilogy ring but it seems like a 5 stones band looks amazing as well!
But I'm unsure if I'm gonna be able to pull off the look because my fingers are very small.. should I keep to a 3 stone ring instead?

That sounds interesting! How's the graduation going to be like? I'm really interested to see how the final product is going to be like! Is it going to be a 0.7ct carat in the middle then 0.6ct, 0.5ct?

My e-ring is a graduated 5 stone, just to give you an idea of graduation and proportions. The centre is .70ct, either side of it stones are .54ct and .56ct, and outside of those are .35ct and .37ct. This is the CAD from my jeweller.

That's great! It shouldn't be uncomfortable because the diamond sizes will be different, and the diamonds will just cover the finger nicely.
Make sure of the quality if you don't want to miss the bling!

You're welcome!

The flow of having a 0.02ct difference on the stones would be much obvious I think.
Its good to have 0.7 main with 0.5 and 0.3 as sides. It would look like this in the photo, so sorry this is the closest I can find in google.

May I know what's your ring size?
A 3-stoned ring would look good too, but it's better to have 2 stones of the same carat for the sides.
That would have a beautiful appearance from the top view.
But deciding on the sizes would depend on your ring size too.

Finished ring, size 6.

OMG, this is amazing! I LOVE it. I just bought an antique 5 stone, it has a .9 center, and then .7s on either side and then .3s I am nervous it will be too big now though because yours is perfection! Hopefully your diamonds are more spready than mine and it will visually be the same since mine are OECs. Yours is so perfect - i hope mine looks similar like this!
