A well-cut white or silver sapphire can be gorgeous. It does not have the dispersion of diamond, however, if your eye can accept that visible difference, a good one will be brilliant, bright and will not disappoint. Long ago, I had one as part of a parcel to choose from, and it was killer. I ended up sending the gem back to the cutter because, at the time, I was shopping for specifically for colored stones and I could not afford to add the sapphire to my colored gem picks. I wish that I had the sapphire today... I still think about that stone.
I actually ordered the 1.47 ct blue green sapphire. Hopefully it is a smudge on the picture and not an inclusion. If it is he said I have a 7 day inspection period. Hopefully it isn't too clear either. For 450 dollars it seems a great deal.
White zircon/ sapphire look cool too, maybe I'll put it in a necklace for her someday
