Mark at ERD handpicked this J for me he doesn't have any images, but he said that it is 100% eye clean and sparkles like crazy! It is a 1.16 for $4350. My current stone is an eye clean .90 SI1. Do you think this upgrade will give me enough of a perceptible difference?

I think .26 will be noticable of a size difference, but hard to tell without knowing more re: your current stone.. what are the dimensions of your .90 stone? If your .90 stone is a deeply cut stone- and the 1.16 stone you are looking at is ideally cut- or a shallow cut the difference will be more so. You can't just look at carat weight- as the cut will determine the actual dimensions. the dimensions will give you a better idea of the visual difference.

Thanks again for the reply Amy.

Here are the specs on my current stone:

Shape: Round
Carat weight: 0.90
Cut: Premium
Color: H
Clarity: SI1
Certificate: GIA
Depth: 61.0%
Table: 58.0%
Polish: Very Good
Symmetry: Very Good
Girdle: Medium to slightly thick
Culet: None
Fluorescence: None
Measurements: 6.16*6.24*3.78
Crown Angle: 35.0°
Crown %: 14.50
Pavilion Angle: 40.4°
Pavilion %: 42.50

from what I can read on the GIA report your provided... the stone is 6.7ish*6.7ish for the new stone versus your 6.16*6.24... with a .6*.5mm difference I definitely thing it will be noticable- but how noticable> I guess it depends on how size sensitive you are....

can you go to a B&M store to come a 1.16 stone against a .90 stone?

How do you feel about going from an H to a J? Are you color sensitive when it comes to diamonds. You might want to look at the colors side by side and get a better idea about it.

I think I am color sensitive, but since the basket is going to be in rose gold I think it will be a warmer effect and it won't bother me. He has my .90 in my possession and he said the J faces up very white.
