How important are The Numbers on colored diamonds?

It sounds lovely!!! How about a pave split shank like this? That would make it a little 'different' looking and you don't really need to wear a wedding band with it. I think this look would be even more awesome with a yellow stone and yellow split prongs.

I think that's a very pretty setting, but I like having a halo around the diamond because it puts a little bit of a "buffer" between the stone and my skin so that the yellow isn't directly against my hand. Also, I like the idea of a halo on a stone with a long north/south girdle because it protets the girdle a little more if I were to wack the ring on something.

But keep those ideas coming!!!
