I just posted over in the Leon Mege thread about my conversation in which he thought my idea for a setting could be cute. This is what I was hoping for. It is actually very similar to the ring that sera was asking her designer about. Here is the thread with my diamond: http://www.artofplatinum.com/4images/details.php?image_id=415. What I wanted was to have the bezel set round diamonds removed from the ring. Also I found a much older picture on pricescope (below) in which the shank of the ring is more rounded and not knife edged, which I would prefer but could go either way on.

My very bad paintshop job of the ring without the round diamonds. So Leon had suggested that we add pave to the split shank to highlight it, but my boyfriend is dead set against this and I prefer the clean lines. I guess if it dosent work out I will just have him make the three stone classic on his site which was the orginal ring I really liked with before I started playing with paint shop. Thanks for feedback in advance.

I don''t really think there is a compelling reason to split the shank that far over (with a three stone), so I''d probably tell him to make the classic setting if it was me. It will be beautiful!

I agree. Without the Pave I see no reason to split the shanks. And I eally like the rounded band, but that's a personal preference! Great choice though! I can't wait to see the finished piece! It will be gorgeous!

Leon masterpieces I found interesting...

Ohhh...I love the asscher with the step cut traps...I would not do a split shank...I would just leave it as is (without the bezel set rounds on the side). It will be gorgeous...lucky girl!!!

I guess I didnt consider how far over the split would be on the shank. I just really liked the way the lines followed off the small end of the traps. Hummmm I''m not sure what to do now. Maybe I''ll play with the photos and see if I can come up with a mock up on my finger. Work kept me busy all day so I didnt call Leon about my project. Yet. I would welcome anyone elses thoughts.
Thanks.

I would trust Leon. It will be beautiful!
