How does your perception adjust to a solitaire after a 3 stone or halo?

I’m having a hard time adjusting. You all know I’m a serial resetter. And I was dying to see my new diamond in a solitaire but I had a 3 stone setting lying around. And I set it in there. But it was wonky, So I wanted to scratch the solitaire itch. And 5 days later, I feel underwhelmed. Like it’s soooo small. And keep in mind that this is my 2.52 upgrade. First world problems. But this is the place. Lol.
ETA: I still have my halo. Will eventually go back to it. But I wanted to experience my stone as the center of attention. So I am committed to keeping it as such for a while.

Certainly.
I want to add that stacking with band makes its appear even smaller! So I’ve been wearing it solo.
I think it looks wonderful!!! It’s def adjustment after halo, but I love that clean look !?

Make it a wrap star.:lol-2::dance: Make little wraps to go around it. That way you can have it a solitaire one day, a 3 stone another, a halo another.

Damn that’s pretty as a soli but after your halo, yeah I can see how it would be a bit small :lol-2:
The wrap idea is pretty cool, gives you some good flexibility

I was expecting it to look diminished but it looks huge!
And beautiful.
But I know what you mean when you say you miss the halo.

That looks absolutely and utterly stunning, wow. What are the specs of the diamond?

Your ring look stunning!

I have a 1.71 ct RB in a halo and it gives quite a coverage. Than last year I have bought a 2.86 ct OEC, and I set it in a solitaire. I like it a lot!! If I want more bling on some days, I wear it with a few stacking bands. I suggest to wear it as a solitaire for a few weeks and just see, if you like it, or not.

On the other hand, why don’t you set a moissy in you halo setting? You could then enjoy both looks!

@nala I think your diamond is lovely in a solitaire but perhaps you are not a solitaire girl...you love big and blingy (and who could blame you lol not me!) and there is nothing wrong with wanting that halo to add that size and oomph factor. Live with this a while longer and see if you start enjoying the look more but if not don't fight it. Reset into that halo that you love. There is nothing wrong with not being a solitaire girl. Rock whatever look you love! When it comes to beautiful diamonds it's all delicious.

@nala I love your new setting! I understand that it is an adjustment coming back from a chunky halo, but I honestly adore how your large diamond is now the center of attention! Wear it for a bit before you go back to a halo, you might surprise yourself and end up liking the solitaire more with each day!

You have the BEST settings! I have major setting envy every time you re-set!
I say enjoy this setting and then being the serial re-setter that you are ~ re-set and then enjoy the next setting!
Your stone does look beautiful in this setting

Your solitaire is beautiful and that diamond looks like a stunner!
I'm with others, give yourself some time before you decide on making the change.

@ nala I think I am confused.. the picture you had posted that had the halo.. a few weeks back - is this the same stone or was the a secondary purchase? i just want to make sure I am following along properly...

Yes. Same diamond. New setting. I was curious about Wearing it as a solitaire so that I could get to know my stone. I still have my halo and will eventually go back to it.

It’s not possible to add wraps bc it is a cathedral setting.

I do plan to go back to the halo, so no moissy. I was so excited to add my stacking bands to it, but it seems to have the opposite effect. Like it shrinks my stone! I’ll post a pic with them

Yep, I love this more than the halo. The look is more delicate and clean on your hand. Lurve!

D9AA4540-7560-4213-A7FB-8790CB037EDF.jpeg So what is odd is that I find that looking at it from an angle makes it seem bigger? Here is what I mean. Now how do my eyes adjust to this view at all times! Lol

I have never had a halo, but I love seeing a stone stand out on it's own as the star. Your stone makes a beautiful solitaire.

Woohoo! I love it as a solitaire. It looks really big on your finger. Also love it with your stunning band.

Would it help to not wearing it for 5 days. When you wear it again you might be amazed by the size. Personally I love this look on you

I fail to see what the issue is.
