How does this 1.9 HCA stone shape up in real life?

Hi all,

The main stone on my fiance's engagement ring is a H&A, F/IF 1.23ct GIA XXX stone, faint fluro. Here's the cert: https://www.gia.edu/report-check?reportno=1206866540&s=1599285268137

The angles work nicely with each other and the stone scores a 1.9 on the HCA.

The melee on the shoulder perfectly match the centre stone and are F/IF, AGS000, H&A with no fluro (these were a mission to find btw).

So how does this stone stack up in real life? How is the light return/fire/brilliance? Did it end up being a great stone? To my untrained eye it looks great in person, but I'm curious for your thoughts. What about the melee? Can you tell whether or not the good credentials actually matter and produce a good sparkle?

Thank you so much!! Melee is not graded per se, but it is sorted into relative colour/clarity groups. For example F+ VS or G-I SI etc. An example can be seen here: https://krosengart.com/order/diamonds/

GIA and others can now sort/grade melee for colour, but I don’t think clarity.

I got my melee from https://grunbergerdiamonds.us/ - their highest grade is DEF/IF-vvs1 but they sorted it for me to match the center stone. They use a sortoscope for this.

Thanks so much. I really appreciate your thoughts! So the diamond I got through a close family member who is in the trade. It came from an Indian manufacturer. I wasn’t able to see the stone in person, or get any ASET images etc, but they do have the ability to search their database by luster, milkyness, no tinges etc. I set it all to close to the best and then made my choice from there. The melee came from Grunberger Diamonds (myself). The ring was made locally by a jeweller who is a family friend. He is very good at his trade. If I can assist in any way, please reach out!

They did sell to me. As I realised that I quite enjoyed making these rings and wanted to look into setting up a website/selling them etc. This was a test run and they were happy to help. In saying that, I bought a fair amount!
