How difficult is Leon Mege to work with??

Not to thread jack but, this all of the posts on this thread have been reassuring to me, as well. I spoke with Leon on the phone about modifying a ring he has on his site and he said well that could be “cute, nobody has every asked me that before” and then went on to question what is it about the original design I didn’t like and suggesting some ideas. He was very pleasant on the phone, so I was feeling good about the whole thing. Anyways I got an email stating he had received my stone and to email in a couple of days, which I did and got no response. So I tried to call on Friday and he was out. Then I started overanalyzing what he ment by “cute” and maybe if my project was going to run into stepping on his artistic nature. Anyways all of these posts about how professional he is makes me feel better about calling again on Monday. Ok thanks for letting me get that off my chest. Calibiling I hope you have found all of these posts as helpful as I have and good luck with your stone/ring search.

RLG- Yes, I have found this post VERY helpful...it has pretty much made me certain with what I want to do now...glad you were able to benefit! I love this forum, its so addicitve!! Keep us posted on your progress!!

As far as I know, no one has reported the price of just the martini settings. Someone here had jackets and martini settings done at the same time, and the total was $3000. She speculated that the martini settings might be $1000 and the diamond jackets $2000, but I would bet that the martini''s are less and the jackets are a little more.

If you price the martini settings, please let us know your quote. It would be interesting to know because those are certainly the prettiest I have ever seen. However, I would have him make 4 prong martini''s because I prefer the look of 4 prongs more.

Talked with Leon this AM... Its $1k for the settings + extra for backs. Machine made push backs were $300 extra and hand made push backs were $750 extra...
