Can somebody please advise the exact numbers, angles and such, that determine that a stone falls within the paramaters of a Holloway Firey Ideal Cut?

Beth, trying some Searches may assist you. This question has been discussed before. Try looking for FIC or similar. Also, please read the tutorial which should have some information on FIC in Garry's version. Or go to his website and read about FIC's. There really is alot of information out there if you can seek it out.

Mara, I reread the tutorial here and did not find specific numbers, also already did the FIC search. I was just hoping somebody could save me hours in research if they were familiar enough with the topic to be able to provide the specific info requested or refer me to where exactly it is. I have limited time to indulge myself these days.

Play with hCA beth with crown angles above 35.5.

Say you get a HCA score of 2.1 - then it is not <2 so it is not ideal.
Say you get 1.9 - then it is an FIC because it has crown angle over 35.5 and still scores ideal.

There are many many possible proportions.

When I have a moment of peace I will get right onto it.

Hang on, I suppose I should revise my strategy. I need to find the stone first and then see if it fits the FIC rather than trying to run endless streams of data and then finding the stone to match. Although as you know I am highly entertained by endless streams of data, I guess the other way would be less time consuming...

This one was a similar Q to yours with a little more info in it. Maybe a little out of date because Garry tweaked the HCA.

This one actually lists the specs on a FIC diamond someone was considering.

About the FIC look, the phisics and the choices (the table on hat sample cert, there must be a better one).

Data are entertaining, I agree. As long as they are too many to read and no one knows what they should mean in advance

HELP! I am TRYING to find a well cut diamond around 3 ct. brilliant - H-SI1. I have seen what appears to be a nice stone, 3.102ct. - AGL O, but when I put it in with all the angles, it flunks. - says girdle too thin. The numbers I have given to me are: Table56%, Total depth 60.9, crown angle 34.4, pavilion angle 42.7, culet 0. I have spent 2 weeks studying the Pricescope website and all it's links. After talking to some jewelers, I feel that I am more knowledgeable than a lot of salespeople! It is just a jungle out there. I also am driving the jeweler a bit nutso with all my questions on light dispersal. I have no problem saying no to this diamond, but an wondering how it could come with AGL 0 papers , hearts and arrows under the scope, and not be a good diamond to purchase?
Any advise would be appreciated.

is an FIC that would look like an old mine cut

Some leakage, but very good overall light return and excelent contrast is the lower girdles are long

We have cut some stones a bit like this.

Who says the girdle is too thin? The cert, the seller, the HCA or yourself? If this was a message on the HCA and the cert says anything but "very thin girdle", the message was due to the approximation with which the dimensions of the diamond are measured (average out from Sarin data, which are not dead-on till the second decimal either). The report gives a more precise evaluation of girdle measure than that.

The HCA says the girdle is too thin, I believe - remember, I am a novice!

Val is right about the HCA. The Cut Adviser on this website does not allow for users to enter the actual girdle %. An "assumed" girdle percentage is automatically calculated by the Cut Adviser based on other info that you input.

Check the Cert and see what the true girdle percentage/description is.

Yes the calculator estimates the girdle - the cert will be more accurate. If there is a discrepancy then the Sarin Ogi data is wrong bit a bit probably.
