I debated upgrading/resetting my ring for a few years and decided to move forward after reading about and viewing so many beautiful options!
New ring is an H VVS2 1.92 (Holloway score of 1.9) with a 1.3 ct. white gold halo setting. Original was a 1.6 VS1 with medium fluorescence purchased in 1999 before cut ratings were part of GIA. I loved the original and wore it with pride, but my middle-aged hands weren’t showcasing it well and wearing it with my band gave my finger “muffin top.” I decided to go for a higher quality diamond in an all-in-one style. My goal was to choose something substantial, yet tasteful, for my ring finger, which is an 8.5.
I just love my new ring and wanted to share with the hope that it might be helpful for others to see.
