The trip to Canada is in April 2024, and my bro and I are planning to stay at West Edmonton Mall, to eat, drink, shop and whatever we can find there in the evenings; only staying for 3 nights.

Aren't you visiting Vancouver to see your family? How about a side visit to Whistler instead of travelling to Edmonton?

My brother said the roads through Whistler could be problematic in April.
He went snowboarding up there when he was younger so I trust him with his knowledge.
