Help with tourmaline ID

I have a stone that I am not sure what it is. I'm pretty sure it's a tourmaline, but I'm not sure what kind. Can anyone ID it from the picture?

What do you mean by "what kind of tourmaline" it is? I am sorry to say we cannot ID by pictures alone. We can make our best guess and even that could be far off unless it is quite obvious (huge size, very clean clarity, superb colour, etc). What makes you think it is a tourmaline?

It looks like a color-treated topaz to me (but just from the pics, so hard to tell). You could take it to a jeweler to see what the RI is--that could maybe tell you info about what kind of stone it is. I'm not entirely sure it's a tourmaline, but again hard to tell from the pic alone.
