Hi everyone!

I've been reading all stud-threads and searching the internet but now I'm completely overwhelmed.
So now I'm posting my first thread, begging all of you experts for help.

I'm buying a pair of studs. It's a present and they will not be upgraded in the future.
My budget is aprox. $1800 ($2200 in totalt but I live in Europe so I have to think about VAT when buying from the States)

Most importantly is cut. I would love to have hearts & arrows-diamonds. I love seeing the arrows
I'm not color sensentive so J would probably work.
Regarding clarity I just want them to be eye-clean.

Should I turn to Whiteflash, BDG, JA, IDJ or BN? Every time I'm searching for loose diamonds I get overwhelmed and give up before find anything useful.

Please help me find studs that will give me the most bang for the buck, please.

Check High Performance Diamonds for CBIs too -they are super ideal like WF ACAs. I looked quickly and the .4’s were above your budget. But you should call and talk to Wink.

The “super ideal” vendors around here are WF, CBI, BG - they command a premium but you can be assured an excellent quality. You could consider the “ES” at WF instead of ACA at the size you’re considering, depending on whether you want a 99% perfect cut or 99.9% perfect cut, which could help you get a slightly bigger size.

IDJ can probably help you stretch your budget further but they won’t be “super ideal”. You can get very beautifully cut ideal diamonds from IDJ as well, and possibly slightly bigger ones. I’m not sure the differences in cut will be visible to the naked eye at that size.

I would rule out BN and JA since you’ll have to do a lot of the matching and screening yourself, unless it’s very tax advantageous to do so (like BN has a European presence through the UK I believe so that might help depending on where in Europe you are). But you run the gamut of amazing to terrible stones on there.

I just remembered and came back here to post - CBI has presence/office/selling facilities in Antwerp I believe, so you can save a bit of tax by going through them perhaps.
