hello all, just a quick question.
i am looking to purchase an eternity wedding band for my future wife. now for the diamonds on the wed ring, because the diamonds are a lot smaller than the ering does the cut and clarity make a significant differnce.

her ering is a 1ct si1 (clean) ags000 f color.

i spent a lot of time and research buying the perfect engagement diamond and it is truly beautifull. but for the wed band diamonds im not sure.

any thoughts.
thanks in advance

Hi Dandoon,

What is the carat weight you are thinking of for the band? Whiteflash do around 1ct total weight 'Diamonds for an Eternity' band which has A Cut Above melee. These are incredibly sparkly and as they are usually F/G in colour, would be a good match for the e-ring.

There are several diamond manufacturers who produce what is generally considered to be ideal / fine cut melee (diamonds weighing less than 0.20 carats) and I recommend specifying that is what you want when requesting quotes - this way the smaller diamonds i the eternity ring will exhibit similar visual performance to that of the larger diamond in the engagement ring.

hello thanks for the help.

im looking for about 1 ct total weaight for the diamonds.
shes got a size 4.25 finger so i dont want huge diamonds to take away from the solitare.
But i do want it to have it just as brilliant!!!

melee diamonds! thanks i will look out for these!

i purchased the diamond for the ering myself and then i got the ring made by a jeweler.
Is it recconded to do the same for the wedding band??? or is it better to buy it already set?
in this case we''re talking approx 20 diamonds for the melee

It would really be much simpler to buy it already set rather than trying to buy the diamonds yourself, if you let your chosen vendor know what you are looking for, as Todd suggested they could probably source you the diamonds you want if they don't have them available. I actually have the WF eternity band 1ct and the diamonds are beautiful, they shimmer and sparkle and also are extremely fiery.
