What do you think of this stone? I have to buy it before I can actually see it.

Oval, 2.02, GIA certified, F, VS2
Specs fall into the 1A and 2B AGA cut chart:
1.37 length to width ratio
58.9% depth
59% table
Pavillion depth is 3.09mm, 42.2%, 40.3 angle
Crown height is 1.01mm, 13.8%, 33.8 angle
no culet
good polish and symmetry
faint fluorescence
minimal bow tie (so I''m told)
girdle is thin to slightly thick
$14,700

do you think it''s priced right? do you think it''s a well cut, scintillating stone? ANy other tips you have for someone looking to buy diamonds online?

thank you for your help!

Bump to get your post back up. Maybe someone with Oval's expertise will see your query and respond.

Sorry, I am new to this. WHat does bump mean? thanks!!

Talkie;

Fancys are very difficult to assess on just the numbers.
But just based on the L/W ratio and depth %,
it appears this diamond was cut to retain the
2 ct size and the expense of light output.
Your L/W should be at least 1.45 for this size.

All right, you gotta help me understand...
How are depth% and ltow ratio related? I thought that l to w ratio was a matter of preference only -- the shape of oval that is most pleasing to your eye. Depth on this stone is 58.9% which if I'm understanding correctly, that is Class 2B for ovals on the AGA cut class chart. Yes? No? How do you draw conclusions based on these 2 statistics?
thank you much.
