Hi! I´ve decided on an Asscher cut diamond for a surprise engagement ring. I think I like the following diamond:
Measurements 5.95 x 5.72 x 4.02mm
Weight 1.13ct
Color Grade H
Clarity Grade VVS1
Cut Grade Very Good
Depth 70.30%
Table 54.00%
Polish Very Good
Symmetry Very Good
Fluorescence None
Girdle Medium
Culet None

I came across this cut guide:
http://www.lumeradiamonds.com/diamond-education/asscher-cut-diamond

I thought there was no real way to grade an Asscher cut. Is this accurate? The Asscher I am looking at has values all across their chart, so if this is accurate then I guess the cut grade of "my" Asscher is not good. However the diamond looks great to me. I attach a picture.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Did you buy this one? It seems very "stripey" to me.

That "cut grade" analysis looks like a bunch of bunk to me. "H" color is "Fair"? Hmmmmm. :nono:

As to YOUR chosen diamond ... do you have any other pictures or videos of it?

Before I bought the ring my GF hinted sh wanted a "tradicional ring", so I got her a traditional round in a conservative setting. Hope she likes it!
