Help with ASETs! Looking at large cushions ...

Hi,

Does anyone have any thoughts on these two 3ct cushions?

What do you guys think of the ASETs and DiamXrays?
What do you think of the pseudo-bowtie effect on the first one? and the asymmetry of the second one?
Do you guys have any thoughts on how the light characteristics of these might compare to a generic cushion sourced by ERD or Perry from LM?

I think visually I like the second one better. I know GOG is really good about shooting videos for costumers, I would call them and ask if they could do one comparing the optics on the two

I like the overall look of the second one but I did notice in the video that there seems to be a bow-tie area (for lack of a better
term) that hardly ever seem to light up. It almost always stayed dark. Contrast is good but...see if you can see what I'm talking
about then ask GOG what they think. The two dark facets I'm talking about are runing E/W from the culet.

Can you get them to do a comparison video between the two stones you posted? (the other stone in the video was an
AVC right? which is nice to compare with because they are cut for very good light return but now I would want to see
a video of the two you posted)

If I was looking for "light performance" evaluation I would go to GOG over both LM and ERD.. the 3.10 vintage is *gorgeous* - love the shape, love the faceting, love the way it returns light in that video

The F stone is a beauty, but i can see the inclusion in the video (in the very last portion of the video)-you might want to view it in person. Also, I agree that you should ask Jon for a side by side of the two cushions.

Just to throw this out there-have you seen that ERD has a new brand of cushions? They look similar to the F cushion you were looking at, and they are less expensive. I don't know how they would compare to each other but since the F is not an AVC I don't think it would be fair to say that the GOG stone would be better than the ERD stones. There is a link to some of ERDs videos in another thread, I will try to see if I can find it.
