Hey everyone - first time posting on here!
I'm looking to purchase a round cut diamond in the $20k - $25k price range and around the 2.25 - 2.5 carat range. I've been working with a local wholesaler I was referred to by some friends and was recently quoted $25k for the stone, inclusive of a simple setting for the below GIA specs.
I'm trying to get up to speed on the lingo quickly but given the amount of money that goes into the purchase, want to make sure the end result is both a great product and price. I understand the specs don't have the best HCA score, but was curious how important or accurate people have found that in relation to comparing diamonds in person, if this is a good deal/stone, and any other advice/pointers I could be missing!
I'm planning to see some more stones from another jeweler tomorrow and am looking potentially to push the color up to an H and the clarity down a notch or two (that was the only option the other jeweler had onsite).
Thanks in advance for any insight!
