My upgrade isn''t even in yet, but I am already thinking about what my band will be. I my old band is very thin, so I feel like if I want it to be visible at all, I will have to get a new band. What would you recommend with this ring? It will be slightly different, as I customized it some, but pretty similar. No budget into consideration, as I am looking for the perfect thing, I will wait until we can afford it, if its right.

what about the matching verragio band?

If I got that, it would have to be custom, since the stone is so big, it would need to taper out in the center. It would have to be another custom piece and it would cost around $3000, which I don''t think its worth it, for a tiny band with around half a ct. of diamonds. I think the designer name is worth it for the ering setting, but not so much for the bands.

Also, I prefer non-matching sets over matching ones. As long as there is cohesion (some similarities).

Ah ok...so do you want a band with diamonds? plain?

also what size is the center stone (now I am curious!)

I am indifferent. I want to make it as unique of a set as possible. I tend to favor towards ones with diamonds, but I think a plain one might go well with the ring.

Oh and my center stone is 1.7 ct. Its the one in my avatar.

My ring is going to be a bit of a mix between the two images on this thread

e-ring

This is discussing my original ring. I have the band and not sure what I will do with the original setting yet.

I think you should just get the non-custom matching band. There will be a small gap between the e-ring and the wb, but that is fine with me, I actually like that look. If you want a flush look you will be looking at custom no matter what, or luck in finding a curved band.

In the interim, I think a 2mm plan plat/gold band with milgrain would look really cool with that ring! Or it can stand alone.

I think getting the verragio band is not an option, as I dont see the point in paying the designer premium for a band like any other. I am sure once I get it, it will be easier to pick something out.

how about this?
That would be my next suggestion. Try to find a ring with the same carat weight per stone as the e-ring shank. Facets has the best plat prices for eternity rings, and exceptional quality by all reports.

I''d get whatever you want, but wear it on your RH, that profile is way too pretty to cover up!

That is pretty - so ornate!!

I''d go with a plain band to let the Ering shine

That''s what my MIL suggested. I think I an eternity ring with a sizing band. I would wear it with my e-ring for a few years, so people around me get used to the fact that I am married. Then I would make it a right hand stack when I get my first anniversary band (though I have one already and we have been married 7 months!)

Could one of you ladies tell me what the setting style of the melee diamonds is? I always have issued determining pave, micro pave, shared prong, etc. Don''t know my diamond terms that well yet... just a year or so ago, I learned what BEZEL was. haha.

Well, I might just have to try this for a while when I first get it. No need for a band... more money in my pocket for later upgrades. lol.
