Does anyone know of a online store that sales pink diamonds? I''m looking for something small about 1ct for as cheap as possible... Quality doesn''t matter that much, as long as it''s a nice shade of pink and not a lot of dark inclusions. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I know icestore.com sells pinks, and also diamondsbylauren.com does. DBL might be your best bet, as I know icestore is kind of pricey b/c they sell more high end stuff. But, both are worth checking out for sure. Good luck!

Do you have a budget in mind? That would be more helpful and also what shade of pink are you looking for? The more pink or saturated a color the more expensive.... Also, do you only want one that has a natural color or treated?

Hi Kroshka,

I was looking for a light pink, not a super intense pink that might start looking red or orange. A none treated stone. Looking for something under a thousand. It doesn't have to be a ct. Just as long as it's 8.5-9 mm width, so maybe if it's a super flat stone. Nothing about it has to be ideal or perfect.

BTW- I love love you icon ring! Where did you find that? Is that it's original setting?

Hi IheartDiamonds,

My ring came from Single Stone, however I don't believe the setting is the original one, but it is handmade. About a pink for under a thousand dollars, I don't think you're going find anything that looks remotely pink and is not super included. Just as you can't find a white diamond that is close to a carat for under $1000, let alone one that has a pink tint. Natural pink diamonds are a lot more expensive than their white diamond counterparts. How about looking for a pink stone alternative - like a pink sapphire, tourmaline, or spinel? You should also be able to find a nice stone that can fit in that budget.

no, it must be a pink diamond... I have a 4 ct pink sapphire and it''s not that same as a diamond. If I can''t find one for under a thousand, I''ll just wait longer to purchase the stone. But I want to shop around to find the best price and to get familiar with pink diamonds. So if you know of any vendors, would be much appreciated...

Dude, are you for real?? Did you leave off a zero or two on your budget?

You might as well ask us to help you find a brand new, brand name family sedan for $1000. Not reasonable. Not reasonable for an econobox car, not reasonable for a 1-ct colorless diamond, definitely not the right order of magnitude for a 1-ct pick diamond.

And 8-9 mm is not the appropriate spread for a 1-ct diamond that looks anything like what is typically put in jewelery. 6-7 mm is more reasonable. If you cut it "really flat" it will not sparkle like jewelry diamonds usually do, it will look more like glass.

Do a search on the front page here for 1 ct colorless or near colorless diamonds. Those are MUCH CHEAPER than anything that looks pinkish. Then contact one of the recommended vendors above and ask about fancy pink pricing. That will give you a number to aim for saving, or maybe you'll reevaluate the project/budget. Sorry.

IHD, Just so you know, pink diamonds are many times the price of white diamonds. I am sorry, but there is just no way you are going to find something that even looks ok within your price range. Or anywhere near it.

Since your open to less than perfection, I think Diamonds by Lauren might be your best bet. Occasionally they get stones that are shallow or EC''s that are narrow, or included etc.
I still think you''ll be looking at $10K and up for a slightly pink tinted stone with flaws.

Hey there, you may want to check out morganite, which looks almost exactly like a pink diamond. It''s still pretty expensive, since it''s considered a precious stone (not semi-precious) but nowhere near pink diamond prices.

I think that threepwood had a diamond and morganite ring made that looks like Katie Holmes'' engagement ring - it looks just like a pink diamond and it''s stunning. Here is the link:

Is it even possible to buy diamonds as bad as the OP apparently wants? I figured that even though I know the really badly included/flat-cut diamonds exist, that you couldn''t just buy them anywhere.

On another note...Ninama, droooool!

Okay... I think it would take a really crafty setting to make this baby look pink pink, but it''s a 1.00 ct light pinkish brown for $1800.

Mmm...maybe some rose gold or pink sapphires included. Delicious.

Hi Iheartdiamonds,
I know you have already been told this by everyone, so i won''t harp on you. But you will really be looking at something horrible in that price range, if you can find something at all. Sorry

However, if you are willing to save, Garry Holloway was recently posting about some of his pink diamond stock, so may be worth contacting him - not sure where you are, as he''s in Australia.
I think a fancy coloured gem would be a nicer idea for you.

Oh, I love pinkish brown diamonds! "Nude" diamonds... I do think if you want pink pink, you should shoot for another gemstone, but there is definitely a place for pinkish browns.

That one has an IGI cert. Compare to/with this GIA certed .89 ct light pinkish brown for $6,540.

Yah! What about zircon? They come in many colors, and the lighter colored ones exhibit diamond like dispersion. If you like Ninama's brown/pink/nudes (I do!) they can be found. If you look at the Honey/red category on ajsgems.com, there are a few of those pinky/nude/browns. (Zircon is a bit softer, so if you're using it for a ring, I'd take care)

Pink spinels, morganites, and kunzites are lovely and affordable, and you'd have many hues to choose from.

What about pink and padparadscha sapphires? Pricier, but gorgeous.

What's not to love?

Thanks for all your input...

arjunajane: Thanks for your help, Garry Holloway... How do I go about contacting him?

Ninama: Thanks for finding all those diamonds for me. I''m really not in a rush to purchase this stone, so if I can''t find a pink diamond that works with my budget, I''ll just wait longer to purchase the stone. I have always wanted to add a pink diamond to my collection, so I''m not interested in other gems.

Is that photo two up from this post showing a pink fisheye?
