Thanks everyone for giving me things to think about...

And I do LOVE Xsouzie's ring!

I'm still leaning toward swapping the sapphires out, but not on any hurried timeline. I have some trips coming up and I know I don't want to be without my e-ring. I had thought I would be happy with my e-ring as a stand alone ring, but after I wore it it just didn't feel "enough." I do like the wedding band-so dainty and comfortable. There are a few occasions when I don't wear my e-ring out, and I love to have that unique and symbolic wedding ring to wear.

I think the patterning together just seems very busy and distracting to me. Much like a checkerboard, and I don't find that appealing. Someone mentioned polka-dots perhaps--I might try to reframe my perception to that as I much prefer polka dots. At least until any other decision is firmly made.
