HELP selecting a 1.0ct stone from BGD

Hi, I am new to pricescope and the information on this forum has been very helpful in my search for the perfect engagement ring/diamond. I have narrowed my choices down to the two below from Brian Gavin Diamonds. One is a 1.038 J VS1 Hearts and Arrows Round and the other is 1.032 H SI1 Hearts and Arrows Round (eye clean). I was hoping I can get some advice from the members on this board on which I should go for. Your opinion's are greatly appreciated.

Of those two, I'd have to choose the H color. All of the signature stones are going to be great looking, but I can see tint in J color so I'd prefer H if I had to choose between these two. I would have to be assured that it was eyeclean from the top AND sides, though, unless it will be set in a halo.

However, there are two diamonds in your budget that I'd rather have over either of these:

I just added two diamonds I'd rather have, Gypsy. That probably wasn't there when you posted.

Thank you for your feedback Gypsy and Diamondseeker2006. I realized the two suggested diamonds are Brian Gavin Blue Diamonds vs the Signature diamonds I originally choose. I guess the big difference is the Fluorescence:Medium Blue found on the Gavin Blue's.

Do you know any other benefits or negatives about the Gavin Blue? I haven't had a chance to read much about it but I will start now :)
 
It is a gorgeous naturally occurring phenomenon that is discounted because of the prejudice against it among some jewelers. I think it should honestly command a premium, but lucky for me, it is the other way around at the moment!

Everyone I've ever seen get a Blue Line stone has been thrilled. Each stone that bears the Blue Line name is examined individually to make sure the Florescence has no negative effect (and with a Medium Florescence that's very rare anyway, it's usualy Strong Blue or Very Strong that has it, if at all) and they are a great value.

That said, there are three differences. I don't think they are negatives but they are differences. Trade in an Upgrade Policies are slightly different between the Signature Line and the Blue Line (so you can read on BGD's site about that). The diamonds are ideal cut but are not guaranteed to have perfect hearts and arrows faceting (but as you can see in the link above in atp223's post that some of them do have it still) but this will not result in any visual difference to the unaided eye (they still have the hearts and arrows after all, it's just the degree of precision isn't guaranteed as it is on the Signature Line) and honestly wouldn't worry me in the least. And of course there is the Florescence which does mean with the "medium" that under a black light (like in a club) the diamond will glow blue, but shouldn't have any other effect really. Some say that even medium glows blue in direct bright sunlight, but others say that's just the reflection of the blue sky (which honestly is more likely). But as someone who has seen the glow of a Very Strong Blue in direct sunlight and coveted it, I don't think that's a bad thing and think it's a lovely personality quirk in a diamond if you can get it.
 
There is nothing to worry about. I just received our rings last week. mine is brian gavin blue series. At first i was also struggling whether to choose the signature heart & arrow series or blue. But i really didn't regret for choosing blue series. It also exhibit the same pattern as the H&A series plus a cool feature that the others don't have in a discounted price. :)
