Good evening everyone, thanks in advance for any help!

I found a diamond I think I want to buy at a local shop (loose at the moment but would likely have them set it as well). Specs are GIA Cert 1.20 ct round brilliant, I color, SI1 clarity, very good cut, very good polish, excellent symmetry and no flourescence. When I enter the angles etc into the HCA I get a total score of 1.0 with Excellent across the board. Most importantly of all I thought the diamond looked really good! So far so good.

With such a big purchase however I'm of course looking at every little detail (probably too much, but I can't help it) and a couple things I hoped the helpful folks on here could lend some knowledge on. First, there are two comments on the GIA report stating "twinning wisps are not shown" and "surface graining is not shown", what do these mean? Anything I should be concerned about?

Second, on the inclusions pictured there are feather, cloud and cyrstal listed, and I count about 10 in total, but on the graphical representation it is difficult to tell which is which. I have not looked at the diamond after looking at the cert so I don't know if they would stand out more after knowing what to look for, but does 10 seem like too many? The diamond did look pretty good with nothing major jumping out at me even through a 10x magnifier so maybe I'm being paranoid but for a big purchase I want to make sure I'm not getting a "bad" SI1 that's really closer to an SI2, etc.

Last but certainly not least, I was quoted just under $6,500, which seems reasonable provided what I described above isn't of any major concern. Does that sound about right?

Thanks again for the help folks.

If the diamond is eye clean, you should be in good shape.

And note that inclusion plots do not show all of the inclusions. Some not plotted may be in the comments section. But, again, if the stone is eye clean, you should be fine.

It looks like you are getting a nice diamond at a reasonable price.

Post the GIA report number.
