Thanks for reading and helping in advance.
I have been looking at the below Whiteflash (WF) diamond for some time. In short, it is an ACA diamond from WF with spec 1.543ct D VVS1 with a price USD 24226. It is a perfect fit for me in terms of quality, size and price. Until recently, I have come along with the concept of diamond types. I have been told by my searches that type IIa diamonds are rare and even purer and more transparent than ordinary D color stones so they are precious.
Out of curiosity and a thirst to have the best quality, I asked WF if they are able to provide a custom cut with the same spec but the type is IIa. WF replied me yes and offered me a custom cut with a very similar spec and a price ~20% higher than the type Ia stone I mentioned (around USD 29000).
My questions now are: What is the opinion from you guys? Do you think this is a good deal to spend more to buy a type IIa stone? Is a type IIa stone much better in a way that it could justify the 20% increase in price?
