Hi all!

I would love some help figuring out whether this diamond is eye clean... It seems clean to me, but I'm no expert!! (Photo attached) (we're looking at buying it online, so unfortunately don't have the option of looking at it in person before it is shipped out) It is a 2.31 round, I colour, SI1, excellent cut/polish/symmetry (GIA certified) The inclusions seem to be 'twining wisps'

Thank you so much for your help!

The vendor you are ordering it through should be able to look at it and tell you if it is eye clean or not. Just make sure to specify what your determine to be eye clean. Such as distance from eye, face up, from the side, etc...

2nd to this. And, make sure the vendor has the diamond on hand to look at!

Does you vendor have a return policy? Just in case!

The photo you provided is certainly not high resolution, but I think I can see something where it is circled in red. That might be eye-visible.

It is difficult to Judge by the Photo as its not High resolution, SI1 stones has to be checked especially in bigger size stones, however even if you do decide to buy the stone, make sure the online company is reputed and have policies in place like 1) Return Policy 2) Free Return Shipping, as the online stores are also giving Free Return shipping, after the purchase if you are not happy you could return the stone for free to the vendor.

Thank you so much all for your prompt replies, that is so helpful - I'm so glad I posted the question!

And thank you oldminer so much for flagging the inclusion!! I would never have spotted it otherwise.

Do you guys think we could possibly get away with hiding the inclusion under a claw in the setting (say a 4 or a 6 prong setting), or is it a bit too big for that?

I checked and there is a 30 day return policy, just in case.

I'm so torn - on the one hand I want to hang out for a diamond that is definitely eye clean - but on the other hand this diamond seems to be a good price - it is $19,000. Most others at that carat weight seem to be at least $2-3k more expensive (or at least the ones I've managed to find!!). Does $19k seem a fair price for round 2.31 carats, I, SI1, triple excellent, GIA certified, 8.41 x 8.45mm? It's so hard deciding between all the different options out there!!

Thanks again everyone for your time and guidance! Much appreciated!! :twirl:

I understand the situation, its like the battle between the eyeclean stone or better deal, I think their might be a better stone available
have you looked at the other options? I would advise to check the link below, you may find something better:

That's a good pricepoint for this size of diamond and twinning wisps are usually not so visible.

I learned here that they are a relatively good inclusion to have!
