A while ago I posted about the nightmare saga of my original e-ring. A nasty JM/Jared/Us love (hate!) triangle. Tonight the situation finally got somewhat resolved. (Once the final T is crossed I will re-post the saga and re-open the discussion as promised-- the insurance vs warentee discussion will hopefully help someone out) I received my replacement stone tonight and am ready to sell/trade and get my new e-ring.
My replacement stone
AGS- report number 01040364210110
Stats are as follows-
Round brilliant- 7.33x7.36x4.47
AGS Ideal 0
AGS 2.0 (H)
AGS 5 (SI1)
1.462 cts
Fluero-Neg
Depth-60.9
Table-55.9
Crown-34.3
Pav-40.7
I am looking for a significantly bigger stone, I wear a size 10 ring and my current stone looks less then a carat proportionally. I do not want to halo for more finger coverage. If the place for the new stone either buys or trades in stones that would be great and saves me a step. (The stone is beautiful, really well cut, bright, white and sparkly, but the situation ruined the stone for both my husband and myself and is now filled with bad juju)
What I am looking for is as follows-
A round stone only-- I have other fancy shapes and really want to stick with round
An ideal cut stone
As big as possible- Hoping for 9mm +
Color as low as I
Eye clean-- My SI1 never caused me to have mind clean issues
I LOVE strong and Very Strong Fluero
About a 25k budget for the stone
Besides cut, size is most important to me at this time-- I'm not ashamed to say it!
I understand about rejecting using the HCA tool, and have been looking at stones using the guidelines depth 59 and 62.3, crown 33.5 and 35, pavillion 40.6-41 and table under 60. Are these the best stats for a pricescope quality cut stone? Are there others I should use instead? I'm not sure when to request an aset (or how to read it!)
If anyone can guide me (or choose for me! ) I would truly appreciate it!
Edited to change my cheesy subject title-- I've been spending to much time with a 5 year old!
