I recently looked at a 2 carat emerald cut diamond that I liked very much. Great color, great clarity, good polish & symmetry, good length to width ratio, basically everything I was looking for, at a very good price.
However, the table is very large (80%), which, according to a cut chart I looked at, puts it almost off the scale below average.
What does everyone think? How important is table size? How should it impact the value (cost) of the diamond? What impact does it have on overall brillance, etc..?
Any input would be appreciated.
