Please help me!

This is for 1.5cttw 5-stone ring. I like Leon Mege's basic 4-prong basket setting, but considering the cost, here are 3 choices now in my mind:

1. Blue Nile
Pros: Low and simple
Cons: I like 4 prongs

2. Stuller 10661
Pros: More secure and older style.
Cons: No closer images on different angels, not sure about the quality; too mush metal

3. Vatche
Pros: 4-prong
Cons: Is it too busy from side? And too high?

Have you gone thru the five stone ring thread? Link: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/the-5-stone-ring-thread.134007/

I'm having a five stone ring made and went with BGD classic u-prong. They have multiple styles of five stones you should look at.

WF is also a favorite. they make a beautiful trellis, u-prong and classic low set basket style.
Here's the basket style: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-wf-custom-5-stone.200745/
Here's the trellis style: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/glamour-shots-of-my-wf-5-stone-trellis-ring-a-week-early.181935/

Both of these vendors have top of the line cut stones and the settings are beautifully made. There are many examples in the thread linked at the top of my post. BGD has a few more styles than most jewelers offer. I went thru that thread about 100 times before I made my decision! I finally settled on the classic u-prong after falling in love with Zestfully Bling's gorgeous ring with the YG shank :))

Hi woofmama, thank you very for your reply and input. I did go thru the main five stone ring thread and dig into many individual posts.
Situation is that it took me years :( to get all five stones. All of them from bluenile with GIA cert. Thus BN probably more willing to set them for no fee.

I prefer 4-prong setting, but didn't see any major sites provide 4-prong basic basket setting. I think I like 5 round stones line up in a cushion-cut like, more square way. Two PSers posted their Leon Mege 4-prong basket 5-stone rings which I like. But I could not afford it. :(

I really like the Blue Nile setting. It's the most classic out of the styles you posted and looks like the ring I linked owned by pickaboo.
I don't like the Vatche trellis, sits high and too much wire. The Stuller is okay but nothing spectacular.
If I were in your situation I would have Blue Nile make the setting!

BGD will set outside stones, a couple of PSer's have had their diamonds reset into the various five stone settings. It's says on their website their is a $75 setting fee. If any of the BGD settings made your heart sing you could call and ask how that works.

I actually like the simplicity of the Blue Nile, but if you don't like the shared prongs, then I would NOT get that one!

Of the three, I prefer the first one, but for a trellis, I much prefer the BGD and White Flash versions to the Vatche.

I love a classic basket setting

Sorry I didn't get chance to check yesterday. Thank YOU all for helping me and providing links and your thoughts.

After talking with my local jewelers and got some estimation of custom settings, I decide to go with BN. Will post once I get my ring.
