#2 looks bigger,brighter and whiter....I've read that the F/VS2 might represent a better choice in the long run than the H/VS2....and then there is the difference in certs

Hi Gray Hilsman,

First of all, don’t rush when buying diamonds. There are plenty of them out there.

#1 is rather inferior cut indeed – deep and small spread. Your price is 17% back from Rap (assuming clarity and color are accurate, which you might want to verify independently).

#2 (I guess it is 2.35 carat not 3.35) has better spread and probably better cut as you can see the difference. Your price is 13% back from Rap.

#2 looks like a better stone but its price is higher and discount from the list is lower. It’s your call.

Run a comparison from Pricescope’ front page for 2.35-2.37 F-VS2-GIA. You’ll find some stones for up to $2,000 less.

You also should be able to find better cut 2.33-2.36 H-VS2 GIA diamonds for up to $2,000 less as well.
