help me spend 10K

Well, my husband and I went all over jacksonville today looking at diamonds so I could get a feel for size and color. I went to a local jewlery store and saw a 1.14 cushion and it looked so small to me!! I also saw a 1.45 at JARED but for its size, it just did not face up well....after looking at both cushion cut diamonds and RB I decided to go with a RB YAA!! So back to square one. I found this stone by BGD, his signature G SI1 1.30 RB what do you think

This may not be the stone I end up picking, I said I would give myself 30 days after making up my mind. I have made rash decisions in the past so my 30 day rule is to avoid that from happening again. I need to make sure I will be 100% happy with the color,carat weight and clarity I buy for my budget because I have jumped around with what I want. First I was picking a G color, then an I !!! VS1 or 2 clarity now maybe SI1

That stone is awesome, I have been eyeing it.

I think taking a 30 day rule is good. But just be aware that any diamonds you like will not last in the inventory for 30 days if they are nice stone

So take your time deciding what specs you want, but do not take your time deciding about a *specific* diamond or it will be gone.

Dreamer, Thank you for all your advice! This will be my 3rd ring renovation and my 4th wedding set. The past 2 and a half years have been a mess as far as my rings go and for the past 3 months, I have been wearing a plain 2mm 10k gold band

If this stone is not available when I am ready to "Pull the trigger" I am completely confident that any of the stones BGD has in his signature H&A collection will be an awesome stone!

Yes, and they seem to get new diamonds every couple months, so just be patient and your dream stone will come along!

Two more question for now, do you think a grace engagement ring setting would pair well with a BGD 3/4 eternity band? Or would the classic truth solitaire be better? Assuming that my stone will be about a 1.25-1.30, what size carat weight 3/4 eternity band do you think would be the best proportion?
