So.... I am all set to propose in the next few days. I spent months pooring through James Allen to find the maximum quality for what I could afford and I settled on a beautiful True Hearts diamond from them. It had a small inclusion on the right corner that was hidden under a prong. It scored .6 on the HCA test. I thought that meant it was super high quality after all my research however, someone today mentioned that meant it was better for earings then ring? I looked at the ideal scope again and I thought it was amazing but maybe I am wrong. Did I mess up? I just got it in today and it looks amazing to me and is brigh bright bright white, however I don't know if it has alot of fire? I am concerned about lack of contrast? That was what was mentioned to me today due to my .6 rating. I have included the ideal scope image and alink to the diamond.

When all is said and done what is important is that she will love it. It is beautiful and I am sure she will love it. If she can tell the difference between a .6 HCA score and an identical stone with a 1.0 I would be shocked. I bet she will be happy to be engaged!
Dont forget to post pictures of it in the ring!!!! & GOOD LUCK with the proposal!

Gorgeous stone. This is going to sparkle like all get out! Perfect for a ring.

Well done.

It is a PERFECT stone! Congrats, you did amazing!

It will be lovely and as others have requested, please come back with hand shots.

Looks great - well done and good luck with setting this beauty

I think she's going to LOVE it!

Jkyle00 - The stone looks good and I echo the above comments. Looks like your research and combing through sites paid off! Here's another thought beside the technical selection of your choosing the diamond for your intended:
Was the ring within your budget? Did you consider what she wanted? Did you look at what her lifestyle is like and perhaps asked her what she wanted in an engagement ring? There will always be larger diamonds, higher clarity and higher in color. But what really makes the ring is that you did the research, considered your budget, took into account her desires and put it all together with all your heart! I think you should be proud! Go do the proposal and let us know how it goes!

Beautiful! Go ask her already :mrgreen2:

You picked a stunning stone, come back with pictures after you propose :P2:rolleyes2:!
