I'm looking for something around a .70 in size, ideal cut, an F or a G in color, and a VS1 or VS2. Thanks for your help! I want to finally do this today. I am going with their 18k White Gold Wire Basket Solitaire Engagement Ring Setting as something simple but I think very nice. It's also only $260 so that allows me to put almost all of my money into the diamond and we can always change the setting down the road if she would like. She can do something with diamonds on her wedding ring if she wants, too. Any thoughts? Thanks again!!!!

And p.s. Sorry if some of you have noticed me and helped me out multiple times before. This has been the hardest decision of my life and a couple times I think I've been close but backed off because I didn't quite feel comfortable with either the diamond or setting, but I want to finally make the purchase.

DIAMOND 2:

Hello!

I found four candidates when searching on that site, which fitted your criteria and which showed up Ex/Ex for Pol/Sym.

Having stuck all their stats into the Holloway Cut Adviser I would choose this one, based on the fact that it gives the best results out of all four:

This stone got ''Excellent'' for Light Return, Fire & Scintillation, and ''Very Good'' for Spread.. which beat the others hands down. :)

That would be my choice, given that all the other factors are exactly the same.

All the best with buying your diamond. I just know that you (and your FF) will LOVE the stone you choose! Ideal cuts rock :)

I should have decided on this earlier and noted so, but I think I would rather go with an F. Because I can''t see it before purchasing an F just makes me more comfortable after seeing an F and a G side by side in stores. Are there any close to the diamond you picked out in an F? Also, I could probably go up to about $3300 because they have a Pricescope discount that will bring it down a bit. Thanks for the feedback so far!

You know what? I think you already picked the best two! They are so well matched they could be earrings! Either is great, but I guess if I had to pick, I might pick the second one.

I''m really happy to see you decide to go for a top quality cut stone! I think you''ll always be glad you did!

OK, so you want an F....

I love both the AGS stones too. I couldn''t choose between them, so I''d just choose the biggest! LOL

Mine''s an AGS cert Ideal cut (F, VS2) and I LOVE it.. so I think you will be absolutely delighted: you''ve made a great choice!!

Thanks for all your help everyone! I just ordered this setting http://www.jamesallen.com/products/item_57-1896_build.asp?module=setting
along with the second diamond-the .72. I am very excited and it is a relief to finally be finished with this process. The ring will be here next Monday, February 11th and I can''t wait! Thanks again everyone, I definitely would not have gotten as nice of a diamond or as good of a deal without all of you helping me along!

Congratulations on choosing your stone!!

Your setting is absolutely stunning: simple, timeless and classic - just the way I love them!

Can''t wait to see pics of the finished ring!
