Good Afternoon all --
So my sanity isn't doing well right now as I just got home from the family friend who is a jeweler and she said that she does not believe my stone to match the GIA certificate. She doesn't believe it is really an F nor does she believe it to be a 1.25. She could not find the GIA number with a 10x loupe (spelling?) either.
With all of that being said, she wanted to take it out of the setting to weigh it but since she was so sure I was ripped off, she didn't want to remove it from the setting and then have the jeweler I bought it from claim "I didn't sell you that one, that's another diamond."
Should the GIA number be on this diamond? The GIA report is dated March 13, 2012.
Should I contact GIA about this? A reputable appraiser?
The ONLY time it has been out of my (or my fiance's)sight is when we left it with him to clean or look at.
Please help and thanks again in advance!
