I am sorry, I saw a few Princess but they do not exactly meet your criteria. I would call Whiteflash and GOG and tell them what you are looking for.

hi!

what about this one from GOG? it's under budget & a 1.5 E VS2 with all the reports & goodies. only thing is it's ratio is 1.01. thing is, you wont be able to see the dif btwn this one & a 1.00.

if you want to go with your listed criteria, there's one on ERD's site that Mark could take a look at - i trust his eyes implicitly - but then you dont get all the fancy reports & all. not sure how important that is to you? also listed are 2 that are 1.01s. if you type the first number into THIS diamond search box, you shld be able to pull up the rest of the omitted info.

14105889 Princess 1.30 E VS1 GIA EX - EX $8,640 1 Premium

3990528 Princess 1.70 E VS2 GIA VG - VG $12,142 1.01 Very Good

13027584 Princess 1.59 E VS1 GIA VG - VG $12,930 1.01 Premium

i didnt see any that matched your criteria currently on WF but they may get some in soon? and i've gotta dash so i havent checked James Allen either...

best of luck to you with your search! i

Thanks those are great! I really appreciate it. I know that I have very specific wants. Do you think the end of March is a reasonable goal to find the diamond by?

Thanks!

I just realized I made "IDEAL rock" how cool is that! Thanks everyone at PS!

I think if you find an ambitious customer service rep, you''ll find your diamond by the end of March if not before!

Yes, I think you could. However, I''m wondering why you don''t seem to be giving more thought to this one that alexah picked? Did you watch the video on it? That''s an absolutely gorgeous stone, and it fits within all your bounderies....

I searched DiamondsonWeb.com for you, which is where I bought my stone and found these:

1.3ct Signature Ideal Ex/Ex GIA E VS1 Ratio: 1.00 $9280

1.52ct Signature Ideal Ex/Ex GIA E VS2 Ratio: 1.01 $12183

These seemed to be the two best with the ratios closest to one. For 1.03 ratio you can get this...

1.75ct Signature Ideal Ex/Ex GIA E VS1 Ratio: 1.03 $15162

DoW offer a price match guarantee, to match the price of any other AGS or GIA graded diamond on the web with the same specs.

I haven''t seen that site before thank you!

I think this one that Alexa posted looks great:

Great thanks!
I actually had that GOG E VS2 stone on hold a couple of weeks ago. Don''t know if you''ve watched the video that Jon has up on that one, but the optics on that stone look incredible! I think the price point on an 1.5ct E VS2 stone with those kind of optics is outstanding as well.

However, at the very last moment I decided to ask Jon to find me another stone with slightly different attributes and I ended up ordering this one...
http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/4000

To be honest, after watching the videos of both the 1.5 E VS2 and the one I bought, I think I''d actually give a very slight nod to the E VS2 in terms of brilliance as it looks in the vids anyway. Still, once we got our stone, it looked even better in person than in the video and EXCEEDED our expectations, which needless to say were quite high. My wife was absolutely blown away by the stone Jon sold to us. In her excitement when she first saw the stone she said "It''s the most beautiful sparkly thing I''ve ever seen!".

Regarding your budget, you should be able to find a top notch PR stone with ideal cut proportions and ideal light performance in the 1.5ct size range with your D/E VS1/VS2 requirements for well under your $15,500 budget. If Jon doesn''t have the stone you want in inventory, tell him exactly what you''re looking for and rest assured he will find you what you want and at a very fair price. Depending how color sensitive you are, perhaps you may want to consider dropping a notch or two on the color perhaps to the F/G range and even further maximize your budget?

If you want to get a sense for the cut proportions in top performing PR stones, check out the stones on GOG''s website and look at the Diamcalc or Sarin reports to see the detailed measurements. I think you''ll see some trends in some of the measurements that may give you a better sense. You can also look at Whiteflash and the Sarin reports on their ACA PR stones and Expert Selection PR stones to get a sense as well.

If you still want to spend to your full budget amount of $15,500, I''m thinking you should be able to find what you''re looking for in the 1.70+ ct range...

Your post was very helpful. The only thing is I am thinking about trying to get stone through Shane Co (ducks rocks)... this is because I have a setting a bought from them for 1400, and can use it to trade in (rather than eating the cost). I also like the idea of physically being able to go into the store, but for the difference in price (and prehaps quality) I may wind up eating the money and going for the one from GOG. That''s partly why I am going to Shane Co tomorrow to look at some in person. I really like that one. And the video was amazing, like seeing it in real life. There is one I found on whiteflash''s website I have my eyes on as well, but I keep coming back to the one from GOG.

Thanks!

Which one of these do you think is best?

Does GOG give you your $ back if you reserve a diamond, then later decide not to get it for some reason?

Thanks!
I don''t think anybody will be able to give you a fair assessment on the first 2 without having reflector images and more detailed measurements. I believe those stones are in virtual inventory so WF would have to call those in for you and evaluate further.

Regarding the GOG stone, did you mean this one? http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/3599/
Personally, I think that stone is beautiful and I think there are others that would agree.

I would recommend you talk to both companies and tell them what exactly you''re looking for and let them either check their inventories or work their sources to find exactly what you want as opposed to trying to throw darts at virtual inventory lists. If it was me, I''d save myself the time and guesswork and let the experts at the respective companies help you find what you want. I haven''t purchased from WF, but from all accounts on this forum, both companies have a great reputation for selling top quality stones.

I''m 99.999% sure that GOG gives your full deposit back, but I don''t want to speak for them so you should confirm with Jon as well as how long you can keep a stone on hold.

I haven''t had any dealings with Shane Co so I don''t have any comments regarding their service, prices, quality, etc. Is the setting you bought from them one that you have any interest in keeping or do you just want to trade it in regardless? In either case, you have a nice budget to work to where you shouldn''t have to sacrifice quality to get what you''re looking for provided you''re getting a fair deal.

Yes that is the one I meant (had the other window open and copied the wrong link). The only concern is that the lxw measurements are different on the different reports. I want a very square diamond. I saw the video and boy does it sparkle! The setting is nice, I just wouldn''t spend 1400 to set a RHR (that''s just me)... so I am not sure what to do with it.

Thanks!
