I recently got engaged, the ring is Blue Nile's petite pave cathedral ring in white gold linky size 6.5 (needs to be a 6.25 though) and my diamond is a 0.37 pear Very Good, D, SI2. Proportions are 6.12 x 4.12 x 2.47 mm... tiny, for these boards really. That's where my problem begins.
I thought with such a thin band (1.5 mm) on my e-ring it would make the diamond seem much bigger, but if anything it feels as if it shrinks down the diamond right along with it. I only have til Jan 15 to possibly return the ring, so I need suggestions and quick! If anyone could help me find a setting that would help my little pear not seem so little, or a wedding band that would help it, PLEASE let me know!
I know a halo would do wonders, but I'm not sure I could find one in my price range (Preferably less than $800, we're in college). I LOVE sidestones, which is why we chose this ring originally, but unless my ring has just the right lighting, the sidestones almost just look like a milgrain. Finally, I live in rural midwest far from any city and would prefer to not have to do any work through the mail unless it is a company like Blue Nile, James Allan, etc.
Sorry the picture so bad, it is from my webcam, my digital camera is broken
