Help me find a diamond

Hi, I'm new to the forum and Diamond buying, Im looking to propose to my GF of 5 years and I wanted to see if anyone could help me find a diamond for her. She is a bit particular about what she likes so its been a bit difficult finding the right stone.

Here is what I'm looking for

Shape - Round or Princess, preferably princess
Color - F or better,
Clarity - SI1 or better, depends though because i dont want it to have anything visible in the center, especially not with the naked eye
Size - im trying to be at 1.5ct but am open to lower ct ( down to 1.25 or so on a round) with a great spread ( at least 6.5mm).
Florescence - None- faint
Budget - Im trying to stay under 8.5k on the diamond or 10k with the ring.

I've researched through the pricescope diamond finder and I'm just overwhelmed by all the numbers and specs and i dont want to mess this up.

You said she's particular - so does she want a round or princess? A princess of the same carat weight will face up smaller than a round of the same weight. You'll get more look for the money with a round, but if she likes princess then go there. You can also safely drop to G/H color and have a very white facing stone.

I think I'm leaning towards round now. initially my budget was 10k for the total diamond and ring or about 8.5k for the diamond but i could go higher if it was something really great.

what do you think of this diamond?

FYI, Be cautious posting stones you really like without having a hold on them. Lurkers will sometimes buy them before you can especially if they have good feedback.

Here is a thread with some insight as to how people liked the diamond. Everyone seemed to think it was quite nice if I remember correctly. I guess the drawbacks would be If you don't like the setting, but that can be upgraded later. Also, since it may go back to JA soom it may be put back in the inventory for significantly more $. Although, then you would have options of trade in or buy back policy if you want to upgrade in future.

I suppose I was just thinking you could get more bang for your buck with something like this.
