Ordered what looked to be a good value online for the following stone to make an engagement ring. The setting is just a proposal setting, not the final.

Just looking for some opinions from you experts out there while I am still in the return period.

Stats. 3.76 CT 9.1 x 8.4 68% depth / 59% Table Cushion Modified Brilliant Ex/Ex F SI1 (eye clean) GIA $29,900

I realize it has more of the crushed ice appearance than the large facets, and am guessing that is why pricing was on the lower side. Didn't realize that was a thing until after I ordered and started doing more research.

Thanks for any opinions one way or another. I'm going to take to a store tomorrow to compare with others.

I'd say it is a matter of taste. If you do prefer this type of cut, it is still the case that some such diamonds are brighter than others. A question for ASET.

No question what I would choose instead: I've mentioned WWW so often, it is embarasing ...

Otherwise, Colourless / SI sounds nice, 'Medium Blue' fluorescence is an interesting add-on & the impecable Ex-Ex finish feel good (for what it doesn't matter).

Using a 'presentation setting' is a nice gesture, of course !

What more to say ...
