Ok, SO attached below is my new wedding set (as I''ve posted previously) I love the setting and stones as is, but i''m always looking for ways to bring in color so...tell me your thoughts on these ideas...the design part will come in soon.

1.) What about replacing the baquettes with some descending in size RB''s in maybe a channel setting?
2.) Doing the above but alternate diamond with blue sappphires?
3.) Leaving the baquettes as is, but replacing either the middle small round brilliant with a blue sapphire or leaving the center small rb alone and replacing the 4 outside small rb''s with blue sapphires.

Secondly, as an anniversary band, depending on which choice above you (and possibly I) prefer based on your suggestions, what type of band would you recommend? My only requirement is that it is flush and fits the curve of the ring guard RB''s...if that makes sense. I don''t care for the wedding setting with a straight band, as you will see in the second posting to come...

I have to say I really like the ring the way it is but...if you are ready to shake it up a little I think option 2 or 3 would be my choice. I think
option 3 might be my first choice actually. Did you have the enhancer made by someone that can make an anniversary band to sit flush with
it? Thats looking like a whole lot of ring for one finger. Are you sure you want an anniversary band to go with it? Maybe you should try an
anniversary ring for another finger? Just an option

sorry it took a minute, hubby played with camera and tripod for a minute with my fire opal, but boy is that thing hard to photo...anywhoo here''s the forementioned photo.

here we go....

Oh, I''m so confused? So, do you want to take the stones out of that ring (the sapphire and diamond ring) and have a new ring made that
sits flush with your set? Is your current sapphire ring in gold tone gold and thats why you want a new one? Or just because of the flush thing?

TYTY, I too love the way it is, but my old set had the sapphires/diamonds thing going on (photo to follow) and I do sort of miss it.... I was leaning towards the 3rd option myself... the guard was purchased at a mall shop actuallly. Too, us visiting 7 different stores to find one that would fit the unique setting of my solitare.

sorry for the blurry photo but you can get the picture...hehe

hehe no...let me see if I can clairfy a tad. I''d like to bring some of the old into the new - but soley in color. I loved the symetry and the color factor of my old set and I miss that in my new set. So wha ti''m thinking about is bringing in some round sapphires to replace the four outside RB''s in the new white gold setting...or maybe making an anniversary band like the one above, out of white gold but having it custom made to fit flush with the new white gold setting. the yellow gold anniversary band is all fake and lab created.

Ok, I see...you are saying do 1 of your options OR get an anniversary band (flush fit) with sapphires

...I think I have it!!! OK, I''m going
with my original and saying option 3. I think you already have a whole lot of ring for one finger so I dont think you really need another
anniversary ring to go with your other rings. I know what you are saying about symmetry...I''m all about that. I think option 3 would add
a nice touch of color but not distract. Keep us posted on what you decide!

I always go for keeping it simple, so...

I''d replace the small RB''s with round sapphires. If possible, I''d change the head on the solitaire so the stone sits higher and the side bands could be more flush with the solitaire.

No anniversary band, at least not for that finger. That''s it.

i really like the top band - do you think it would fit the curve of my bands?

trying again...lol

That band is pretty. The middle curve looks like it might go around the 3 diamonds (future sapphires) but I'm a little worried
about the 2 secondary curves. They look like they may be too curved to go along side of the baguette part of your ring. If
you do decide to get more rings I would do what the other poster suggested and have your solitare put in a higher head and
then have the 2 sides of your enhancer pushed (or mushed) together so you dont see skin between them. That may be just
personal taste but I think it would look nicer if they all set closer together (especially if you are stacking on more rings). What
do you think about mushing them together or do you prefer the open look?

Also, if you decided to put a new head on I would find a head with more delicate prongs that show less metal and more diamond

Personally, I like to see the sparkle of the diamond and not the reflection of the metal. Ok, I've probably given you more opinion
then you ever wanted...I hope you dont mind. With all that being said, it truely is a lovely set and doesnt need to be changed or
enhanced one bit.

The more i think about it the more I''m thinking i''m going to leave it as is. Maybe i''ll design a RHR...hehe

I like the openeness of the setting as it currently sits. I do however think the prongs are a little large on the solitare but we opted not to reset the stone as the cathedral type of setting is very unique. I love how flush the whole setting is though. In my previous set, I was always snagging it on things. However, the more I look at this ring set, i''m not liking the way the jeweler set the rings in place and sodered them together. There is a little extra space between one side of the center ring and guard than on the other. It''s really bugging mee now....i''m thinkinng of just going to the local benchman at sears and seeing if he can adjust it without taking it back to the shop who did the original work because I''d have to leave it...

That''s what I''d do. For anniversaries, I much prefer to add pieces rather than alter what I already have. But then again, I''m a little sentimental about my wedding set and don''t ever want to change it. Stackers to add to the mix? Sure! Switching out stones in my set? NO WAY!
