Please help a very non-artistical person with brainstorming :) the classical Diana-style halos are not speaking to my heart. I'm more of a geometrical, art deco person
Is there a way to work with the diamonds in this humongous thing? The middle is a 0.5 euro cut and the rest are an additional 2.5 ct.

TIA!

FUN!
And gorgeous!

Can you show a pic with both the ring and the loose stone on the back of your hand?

Nestle the diamonds into bright cut boxes, arranged into whatever halo /cluster/saddle/shield shape strikes your fancy, is my impulse suggestion, for geometric /art deco /non princess Di direction.

Berganza for the inspo

@Rfisher that place is dangerous :kiss2::kiss2::kiss2::kiss2:

What do we think of this one? I think between me and the 20s is true love.

These are my inspiration halo rings for ovals:

They all need 2 larger diamonds in the halo for the symmetrical Art Deco look though.

DK :))

That's why they put it so far away.

Lovely sapphire. I can't tell the diameter but I think those diamonds will be too small. Look at Oscar Heyman for creative halos, if memory serves. Trios of pears like @Autumn in New England did. Petite marquise like falling dominoes all the way 'round.

The shape of the sapphire, while beautiful, would not support the most iconic Deco designs like a baguette picture frame -- but good luck finding a fine octagonal or really any step-cut sapphire. @dk168 has some nice Diana-vibe-free examples above.

@LilAlex, the one that I linked has less than a ct diamonds, so i think i can make it work with what I have. The original cuts and arrangements were divine. I'm looking for cushion cut inspiration.

I found my favorite style!!! Mine will have larger diamonds, but same style. I ordered one more more euro cut today to see if it matches the one in the cluster ring.

Just an update on this. I'm slowly finding all the diamonds, this is the latest purchase. It is huge, clear and in perfect shape. It was basically free, i paid for the gold. 20250106_161826.jpg20250106_161824.jpg20250106_161817.jpg

The leaf is so pretty! Don't scrap it, could put a little colored gem or pearl in there for a nice necklace.

@Dreamer_D it's very pretty but 13 grams. Would be a huge, heavy pendant. Great idea with the gemstone / pearl
