Help me decide on a setting for my 10 carat blue zircon!

Looking to set my zircon in a right hand cocktail ring. It's huge (10.8x8.5) and is VERY deep. The ONLY thing I have decided on is rose gold. If you have any setting ideas or inspirations rings to share, I'd appreciate it! Stone:

Yay, I'm so happy you're setting this one! I can't wait to see it. Last time I checked I'm not sure JuliaB was willing to work with outside stones, but she's who I think of when "rose gold settings" are mentioned since she has lots and they are beautiful.

EDIT: another idea. I really love this vendor since she just made 2 rings for me, and I think this setting would be stunning if it could be made for your stone size/shape. I know for sure she could make it in RG.

My blue green tourmaline by Gene is very elongated and deep as well. I had Victor Canera set it in a tri wire setting with diamond cuffs. It's also possible to add a vintage element on both sides.

Me too Acinom! I could NOT give that stone up. It's one in a million....I am thinking solitaire setting since all my diamonds are halo'ed. I really don't know. That's why I am looking for inspiration. I LOVE the trip-wire idea and I'm obsessed with cuffs!!!!

That setting is so beautiful! I love flowers, that would be stunning!

The color of your zircon is truly unique. I am soooo glad you decided to keep her. A solitaire design would be stunning as your zircon is powerful enough to stand on it's own.
I love lovedogs's suggestion for the flower ring I would personally add a cathedral though to visually reduce the depth of the stone. It might also be more secure for a deep stone.

What is the depth of your stone? My natural blue topaz by Doug is more than 9 mm deep, but David Klass did wonders with the proportions. It's a solitaire design with single cuts in the shank. Diamond melee can be added in the gallery as well.

I haven't measured, but it's REALLY deep. I wouldn't be surprised if it's 10 mm.....

Less is more for this zircon because it has the size and colour oomph to pull it off by itself. I'm seeing a solitaire with a simple decorative touch in my mind's eye.

I have a lovely honey zircon ring that was made by msop & David Klass that is also deep, although not quite as deep as yours. They did a simple rose & white gold design with tiny diamonds on the frame so there's a little "extra" when you're seeing it from the side.
