So I have decided to add a bracelet to my jewelry wardrobe. I know what I don't want, either having tried the style in person or showed the style to DH and he didn't love it. My hubby loves bracelets on women, thinks they are such a sexy piece of jewelry so I really want ot pick something that we both like ;)) For those of you who are familiar with my other pieces I prefer clean classic looks, leaning more toward modern influences.
The following styles are not under consideration at all: bangles, pave, tennis bracelets,DBTY or milgrain/antique look. Doesn't leave much, right

This would be my dream bracelet: http://www.cartier.us/collections/jewelry/categories/bracelets/links-and-chains/n6026300-agrafe-bracelet

Or this: http://www.cartier.us/collections/jewelry/categories/bracelets/links-and-chains/n6025200-maillon-panthere-bracelet

But I don't have 20k-30k to spend(actually can't even imagine doing so  ) So my Champagne taste-Beer money self is looking for a lower priced similar style, top budget $2k but more comfortable around $1k-$1.5k. Everything in the style I prefer is heavy on gold weight so that is driving the price up, I think.

I will be most likely purchasing the Cartier Trinity ring in August for my anniversary gift so I want a bracelet that will look good with the trinity.
Here's a bracelet I tried on at my local jeweler. What do you all think?

Yay for a new bracelet Woofmama! I love your inspiration bracelets (and your whole collection!).

But to be totally honest, the one you tried on at your jeweler is not my style. It seems almost a touch "bondage" to my eye. But obviously what counts is your eye! I'll keep a look out for something similar and post what I find here.

Thanks for answering Rosebloom  Aren't those Cartier bracelets the BOMB? You have me & DH  with your bondage comment. Maybe I should just wear handcuffs  :naughty: :cheeky:

I look forward to your bracelet suggestions :))

I do really like the BGD Linked bracelet. It states on their site that these are sourced by an outside vendor, not made by them.
I wonder if any PSers have purchased this. If so, I hope they post.

Hmmm sourced by an outside vendor is too bad. I'm sure they think the quality is up to par or they wouldn't offer it. But still, wish it was made in house.

The idjewelry bracelet looks very promising too! I wonder if they could make it without the diamonds on the little stems that link the square segments. I want it a bit less blingy, believe it or not.

IMO, the bracelet at your jewellers isn't delicate enough. The ones you linked to Cartier appear to be substantial yet delicate. The jeweller's bracelet is substantial but seems to lack femininity (though perhaps it's the close up photos that are to blame). Like others, I think you should keep looking. There's better ones out there.

Maccers I just showed my hubby your post and he agrees with you. The thought never occurred to me that it wasn't feminine, but now that you pointed it out I do see that. I have an interesting personal style and like bold clothing, shoes, bags.
I am going to keep looking, I was sitting on the fence with this choice so I guess I realize it's not the one. Thank you :))

yeah the one you originally posted is very masculine. I like that IDJ one you posted a lot better

Very exciting Woofmama!! I like the BGD triplet - it looks visually solid but with a delicate feel because it is thin (is that crazy to describe it that way?)

Is this one from JA too delicate? is RG an option?

I'd personally kind of lean away from the handcuff look.. just sayin' ;))

Hey Enerchi :wavey: The triplet one is cool just not sure if it is too delicate for me. I'm a healthy woman ;)) , so kinda want a substantial look. No delicate flower here :cheeky:

I would like to see a larger pic of the JA one. Any ideas on how to enlarge the picture?
If it is similar to DBTY, I feel those are too delicate for me. But I would consider a heavier link. I also would be happy with mixed metals or all WG. I want something I can wear everyday with my jeans without looking ostentatious or damaging it messing with my clients dogs.

As for the handcuffs...DH does have a criminal justice degree and we do play cops & robbers sometimes :naughty:

If this bracelet had larger diamonds, I would like it. The chunky links with the very small diamonds don't "do it" for me.

I like the chunky look of the metal itself; larger emerald cut diamonds instead of the small rounds would look great in this one!

   You are too funny! I hope we get to meet your DH when we are in town!

I too am a 'healthy' girl (read: Extra Lovely!) so I get what you are saying with the delicate is out concept. No idea how to make a pic larger but I'm sure you could chat with the JA online SA's and ask them to send you a few photos. I'm sure they must have some elsewhere that they could retrieve for you. I am all over mixed metals at the moment - especially if you are going to be the new recipient of a Cartier Trinity Rolling ring in August!! A bracelet in 2 or 3 tones would really work well with that!

bgray-The bracelet you're saving for is very cool! I hope you are able to get it soon. I think it would move around too much for me, similar to a bangle. I would probably damage it in no time. I want something "hugging" my wrist. Thanks for the suggestion :))

Sky56-This would look yummy with step cuts, wouldn't it? Hmmmm now I'm thinking maybe something with baguettes. But kind of straying away from my budget and inspiration bracelets. I'm so undecided :twirl:

Enerchi-I'll contact JA for better pics. I have had other two toned pieces in the past, but yg & wg only. I tried on a rolling ring the other day and loved it. It wasn't Cartier but the genuine one is reasonable so that's what I want. As for meeting DH, we might be able to drag him along if it's a weekend thing. :))

Aren't you getting the Trinity? When I saw it in ksmoms thread with her solitaire I swooned! Been on the Cariter site daily obsessing over it :naughty:

I wonder if someone, maybe BGD, could make something like this-with plain wg links and diamonds only on the clasp.
Thoughts anyone?

I think you'll be getting into considerably more money if you go in the custom direction. I think those links would have to be adapted, too. I think it is too much contrast with the diamond part. Maybe open links rather than those rectangles of plainness.

Hi DS :wavey: Thanks for replying. I'm sure you're right about custom being beyond my budget. I really like the Cartier with the plain links and diamond clasp, seems the perfect amount of bling for me. I do agree that open rectangles would look better. We should clue Cartier in  I'm not a heart person either. That bracelet is pretty but not geometric enough for me. A bit too blingy.

The other place I look is ebay because there are designer bracelets that are at lower prices. If I see anything there, I will let you know!

Diamondseeker I love the tennis bracelet that you saw on ebay. It is exactly like the one I lost three weeks ago. So that's what I would buy .....
