Help line/contact for Match.com

I don't have (or want!) a Match.com account. Someone has set my email address in a match account, and my inbox is full! I'm trying to find out a contact number for Match to notify them of the error and put a stop to it, but anything obviously legit I can find online requires you to sign into or sign up for an account to get the contact info.

Can anyone help me out with a help line contact number for Match? Thanks!
 
First of all, change your password on your e-mail account. NOW.

Okay, fixed that? I've never used match but most of these sites require you to confirm your e-mail just to prevent what's happened to you. This means it is highly likely someone has your e-mail password. Or, someone in your household or physical space signed you up when you weren't looking. Which would be a bummer.

Now, go to match. Click on "sign in" then "lost your password." You will be e-mailed a link where you can set the match password. You can now do whatever you want with the account, including contacting customer service.

Email password was changed immediately and account activity log shows no unauthorized access, so I do think (and hope) the problem is at Match, thankfully.

The first email from Match included a link to click if you didn't make these changes to the account but I didn't want to click any links in emails that I didn't know were legit. Then the problem is I can't find contact info for Match independently, without having an account.

I'd considered what you suggested about changing the Match password and taking control of the account, but didn't want to do that unless I can't find a way to contact Match directly to have them fix it.

Match doesn't require anything, I had the same thing happen to me a few years back. I went on thier website and found the Contact Us link, and explained the situation. The person there wrote me a polite response, and I never heard from them again.

Their contact us link requires you to send name and email over a non-secure page (not https) so I have been reluctant to use that. DH has made me an internet security freak! Glad to hear you were able to get it to stop though.

Was hoping to find the number from Match itself or a member rather than a third party site (no guarantee it's actually Match and not a scammer's number) so I'm sure it's a real Match number, but will try this if I can't find anything directly. Thank you!
