Is this a good stone? Thanks!

Looks good to me. Many people on here will request asetscope and idealscope images, but as far as buying blind online the stone looks to have promise. Scores under 2 on HCA with ideal proportions. Very solid chance you purchased a great stone.

Some people may say that the VS1 could be downgraded to a VS2 or eye clean SI1 in order to get a larger size or higher color grade, but that is opinion. A well cut I should still face up nice and white.

Those proportions should lead to a very nice diamond. Do you have any pics of it?

If you post a pic of the stone you'll get more opinions. Where did you get the stone?

The proportions sound fine & the price is a good one too. If you bought from a trusted seller here, don't panic about buying online. I see your price is listed in CAD...I'm also in Canada & I've rarely bought anything in person. LOL The clarity is a high one but if thats what you found, & love, then thats the one you love. =) The stone is not deep so you're maximizing the spread, which is always a plus I think. ;))

I tried to request additional info or even some real pics, but they were not able to provide it, which is why i am a little hesitant.

It looks great on paper, i am just worried there is some major defect, because of the price i paid for it. Which was only 6250 USD before taxes and duties.

It seems too good to be true, as the similar stones in that price range are smaller spread and lower clarity.

What lab graded the diamond?

What is the vendor's return policy, in case you don't love the diamond?

Gia cert, june 3 2015.
14 days money back.

What's the problem that you're being remorseful about? The next step is to look at it in person, show it to your friends, appraiser and anyone else who's opinion you value. If it doesn't measure up to your expectations, send it back. That's, inconvenient, but it's not really a disaster. Usually dealers ship pretty fast so you'll have it in a couple of days although I notice you listed the price in CAD. If you bought from a US dealer you'll need to add a few days to deal with customs. As with the above, they're a little inconvenient but not really a serious problem.

Ask the vendor if they can take a short video for you on their cell phone. It might help validate the diamond is "real" so to speak. Are you near a border? Can you cross in to the U.S & pick it up at a Fed. Ex centre? That's what I do all the time. Alleviates some anxiety because I can decide if I like it I keep it, if I don't, I send it back without having to deal with shipping & customs. All we have going for us Canadians right now is that gas is cheaper than it has been. ** sigh **
