Help...I can't choose an engagement ring setting

I have 3 Choices that I like:

1) Round Cut - Solitaire with side stones on ring.

The Center Diamond will be a 1.77 carat diamond.

I can't decide because they're all really nice, but I want something either classic or something that my family doesn't have. I kind of want to show off the size of the center diamond, but feel like you can't really tell with the cushion. This is driving me crazy trying to decide. Please help if you can. This is really not something that someone else can decide for you though. They are not close enough for us to really pick apart - they are all totally different. So it has to come down to what YOU love. What do YOU want to wear? Regardless of what your friends and family have?

Have you looked at any the LAD/CVB settings? Not sure if they are your taste but they show a stone off beautifully and
are going to be pretty different from what most people have (if that's what you're looking for).

I'm not normally a solitaire girl... but that solitaire is STUNNING. Such a classic. i love the cushion halo too. Have you tried on rings to see what you prefer on your finger? If you're going for size, a halo might be the way to go, depending on your ring size. They are such different looks, not something someone else can decide for you. Have you thought about what type of wedding band you want as well? That could very well help you determine which ring is for you.

Of these three, No. 3, cushion halo, gets my vote. But they are all gorgeous. Couldn't go wrong. As another person said, try them on to see what looks best. It can make a big difference on your actual finger. Good luck, and keep us posted!

If I were going with a Leon Mege ring I'd probably go with halo design.


Some of the LAD/CVB solitaire designs are quite ornate and you need to have a larger stone to pull it off IMO. I believe a lot of the example pics are with 2.5ct or bigger stones.

Thank you for your advice, I think you're right. I'm probably going to go down to Robbins Bros just to try on rings and see what I like best.
