Hi, I'm resetting my 1.2 ct colorless diamond into a three stone ring. I would like to use yellow diamonds on the side and for the stones to look close to the same size, for a more contemporary feel. I've contacted Liebish, is there anywhere else to look, or any advice you can give me. Do I worry about brilliance and cut, or am I just going for color I like? Thanks in advance for any input.

My husband was surprised when I turned down the option of diamond rings. Although they were nice my reasoning was that I prefer to wear a timeless ring that wouldn't allow me to be the target of possible theft. I still went with Tiffany's but decided not to get any diamonds for my wedding band. I personally find that diamond rings are nice to wear like I wear them on different occasions but just not as a wedding band. It got me thinking and along with my husband we wondered why western women especially were obsessed with getting diamond engagement/Wedding rings?

This is a diamond board you know. :)

Personally I just love diamonds - because they are beautiful. Not because of any convention I'm supposed to follow. If I got divorced tomorrow I wouldn't stop wearing them. I'd just resize my ER into a RHR!

Thritto to DBL - David is fantastic to work with and has an eye for colour - you'll be in good hands with him ::)

He also has several benches that specialize in different types of work (at different price points) - I'm not clear on whether you already have a setting, but if not it will be easier to have one vendor both source the stones and make the setting. DBL made a multi-stone setting for me and it is painstakingly, flawlessly executed - I highly recommend his "über" bench!

I agree with Yssie about sourcing the stones & setting with DBL. They have an eye for color, proportions, etc. Sounds like an exciting project! Keep us posted. :appl:
